Step into a space where movement becomes a conversation. Through Acro Yoga and Contact Improvisation, we explore the art of trust, play, and finding balance together.

Discover the art of lifting and letting go in our Shared Gravity workshop. This video shows the dynamic and static partner work we explore, inspired by acro yoga and contact improvisation. It's a practice of balance, trust, and surprising yourself with what you can achieve together.

I believe in the power of slowing down to find oneness, first with our own bodies and then with each other. In this video, I invite you to our Dance of Oneness session, a blend of deliberate movement, free expression, and shared stories told through the body.

About Movement for Connection: Acro Yoga & Contact Improv

You do not need to be a gymnast or bring a partner to join our sessions. We focus on the shared aspect of gravity—learning how to support another's weight and find balance together, regardless of your experience level. Whether it is an Acro Yoga flow or a Contact Improvisation jam, our facilitators guide you through the physics of connection, prioritizing safety and clear communication above all else.

Our workshops are not about perfecting a pose or achieving a performance goal. At Dhurii, we view Acro Yoga and Contact Improvisation as a physical language. When you learn to lean into a partner or catch their weight, you are engaging in a silent dialogue that builds profound trust and co-regulation. This is a practice of showing up and being present for both yourself and another.

In our Shared Gravity sessions, we break down the mechanics of flight and stability. You start by finding your own center, then gradually move into partner work where you learn to distribute weight effectively. This isn't just physical conditioning; it is an exercise in vulnerability. Participants often find that the barriers they build in daily life—hesitation, fear of falling, the need for total control—begin to dissolve when they have to physically rely on someone else.

We operate in a trauma-informed environment. Our facilitators ensure that every interaction is grounded in clear communication and consent. If you are new to the practice, expect to start with gentle, static stretches before moving into more dynamic transitions. We hold space for you to laugh at the wobbles, celebrate the moments of stillness, and discover that your body is capable of much more than you imagined.

Located in Domlur and New Tippasandra, our studio provides a safe haven for these explorations. We offer a mix of intensive weekend workshops and regular movement jams, perfect for anyone curious about somatic practices or simply wanting to get out of their head and into their body. If you have been looking for a way to connect, play, and move in Bengaluru, we invite you to come exactly as you are.
