I wanted to share the story of how Deliciae began. It started 20 years ago with a dream of having my own patisserie and supplying desserts to a local restaurant. It has been such an eventful and beautiful journey.

Meet the mother-son duo behind Deliciae. My son Suchit and I share a glimpse of our journey working together. I handle the creative part, and he handles the business side. I couldn't do it without him.

Hello everyone. Here I am announcing our pop-up at the Echoes of the Earth festival in Bangalore. I was so excited to be there personally and meet all of you.

Our cakes are available in various sizes, from half a kilo up to 5 kgs and even larger for special events. Here I am in the kitchen showing off some of our beautiful berry cakes.

About Behind the Bakes: Our Kitchen & Story

What you see here is not just a commercial kitchen, it is my home-turned-patisserie. My son Suchit and I run this together—I handle the creative recipes and flavor experiments, while he manages the business side. It is a 20-year journey that started with simple birthday cakes for my own children and grew into what Deliciae is today in Mumbai and Bangalore.

I started baking in my own kitchen when my children were young. My first attempt was a car-shaped cake for my son’s birthday—it looked a bit funny, but it was made with so much heart. That love for baking turned into Deliciae in 2004, back when I supplied desserts to Out of the Blue in Mumbai.

People often ask why I still get so excited about new flavors like Kunafa or seasonal fruits. The truth is, I get bored easily. I love to innovate, but everything must be honest. Whether we are in our central kitchen in Bengaluru or our original home in Mumbai, the process is the same: small batches, high-quality ingredients, and nothing sitting on a shelf.

Working with Suchit has been one of the biggest blessings of this journey. He keeps my feet on the ground and handles the logistics, allowing me the freedom to experiment. When you order from us, you are not just getting a dessert. You are getting a slice of our family story, crafted fresh to make your celebration a little more special. We are always happy to help you pick the right flavor or size for your party.
