The Journey is the Reward: Real Yoga Progress
Yoga isn't just about perfect poses. It is about showing up, embracing the bloopers, and finding peace in the process of learning.
Here’s a blooper from when I tried to self record an unsupported shoulderstand. It’s not always graceful, and that’s okay. It’s a fun reminder that we all have our clumsy moments, and the important thing is to get back up and try again.
This is a photo of me successfully holding Eka Pada Koundinyasana, a pose I once thought was impossible. It's a testament to the magic of consistent practice and a reminder that you can achieve your goals.
About The Journey is the Reward
You will notice in my practice that I share as many 'fails' as I do successes. That is because consistency matters more than perfection. Whether you are struggling with a simple stretch or a complex arm balance, know that your wobbly days are just as important as your strong ones. Let us work together to make your practice a space where you can breathe, learn, and grow without the pressure of getting it right the first time.
Progress Over Perfection
Many of us walk onto the mat thinking we need to be flexible or strong from day one. I am here to tell you that is not the case. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the idea that yoga is a lifelong journey. We will use props like walls, blocks, and wheels to make poses work for your body, not the other way around.
What We Focus On
- Hatha and Vinyasa Styles: My sessions are a blend of Hatha for alignment and Vinyasa to get your heart rate up and blood flowing.
- Breathwork for Stress: Every class ends with time to sit with your breath. It is my favorite way to help you log off from the stress of the day and log into yourself.
- Small Group Settings: Whether we are doing online group sessions or in-home private classes in Bangalore, I keep the groups small so I can actually see you and offer corrections.
Making It Work for You
If you are a total beginner, we will break down the movements. If you have been practicing for a while, we can look at intermediate flows or specific inversions you want to master. We focus on back pain relief, core strength, and simply feeling better in your own skin. Yoga should be your peaceful hour, not another task on your to-do list. If you are ready to start, let us find a routine that fits your work schedule.
