Yoga by the Sea: Finding Calm and Balance in Every Flow
Practicing yoga with the ocean as a backdrop is a reminder that movement is more than exercise. Whether you are on a beach or in your living room, these flows are about finding that quiet, steady space within yourself.
Holding Reverse Warrior pose against a beautiful sunset. This pose strengthens the legs and core while creating a beautiful side body stretch, making you feel both powerful and peaceful.
Finding my balance in Warrior III pose, or Virabhadrasana III. This pose challenges your stability and focus, and practicing it with the ocean in the background is a reminder to stay steady even when things are in motion.
Grounded power in Warrior I pose during the golden hour. This foundational pose builds strength in the lower body and opens the chest, helping you feel rooted and expansive at the same time.
Extended Side Angle Pose, or Parsvakonasana, with the ocean as my backdrop. This pose creates a long line of energy from the back foot to the fingertips, stretching the entire side of the body.
About Yoga by the Sea
Even when I am practicing with the ocean breeze, the fundamentals of yoga remain my priority. These Warrior poses—Reverse Warrior, Warrior III, and Extended Side Angle—are about finding stability when things are in motion. My sessions focus on breaking down these exact movements so you learn to use your breath to hold steady, not just muscle through. If you want to build this kind of grounded strength at home, we can work on a routine that feels right for your body.
Finding Your Center, Anywhere
Yoga is a journey that travels with you. While these photos capture the peace of a practice by the sea, the intention remains the same whether you are in the Maldives or your own bedroom in Bengaluru. My classes focus on the Warrior series—Virabhadrasana—to help you build strength in your lower body and open your chest, allowing you to feel expansive and rooted.
How We Practice
I blend Hatha Yoga for alignment and Vinyasa Flow to keep the energy moving. You don't need a beach or perfect flexibility to start. We will use props, walls, and chairs to ensure you are safe while pushing your limits. My goal is to help you 'log off' from the world and 'log into' yourself.
Why Join My Sessions?
- Real, Honest Guidance: I share my own wobbly headstands and failed attempts. If you have ever felt discouraged by perfect-looking social media yoga, you are in the right place.
- Breathwork Focus: Every session includes time for Pranayama and mindfulness because yoga is as much for your mind as it is for your muscles.
- Flexible Formats: Whether you prefer the accountability of my small-group online batches (8-15 students) or the privacy of a 1-on-1 session, we will customize the sequence to your goals, from back pain relief to mastering specific inversions.
If you are ready to stop worrying and start finding your inner warrior, send me a message. We will start small, breathe deep, and see what happens.
