From independent singles to film soundtracks, I help composers and musicians layer authentic Tabla rhythms into their projects with precision and soul.

About Studio Sessions: Albums, Film Scores & Singles

When we get into the studio, I don't just provide a beat; I bring multiple sets of tablas tuned to the specific root key of your track. Whether it's a tight 4-hour session for a commercial jingle or an all-day deep dive into a fusion piece, I arrive prepared with different dayans to match scale shifts seamlessly, saving you time during the mix.

Recording is not just a job for me; it is a collaborative process where the rhythm must serve the soul of your song. I believe that a session musician should be an active listener—someone who understands the composition's emotional arc before even touching the tabla.

My approach is rooted in the Farukhabad Gharana, but I am comfortable shifting gears for fusion projects, film background scores, or indie singles. I have had the privilege of recording in professional setups like Studio Vibrations in Kolkata, and I am equally comfortable traveling to studios across India to get the right sound.

What I deliver in the studio:

  • Technical Precision: You receive raw, uncompressed WAV stems with separate tracks for Dayan (treble) and Bayan (bass), giving you full control during the mixdown.
  • Versatility: Whether you need standard Taals like Teentaal or experimental ambient textures for a film score, I am ready to adapt.
  • Collaboration: I enjoy the brainstorming phase. If your track needs subtle Laggis during a crescendo or a complex Tihai to punctuate a drop, we can jam on it until it feels right.

Having worked on diverse projects—from T-Series productions to national broadcasts for All India Radio—I understand the pressure of deadlines and the need for a clean, professional take. My goal is to add rhythmic depth to your music that feels organic and purposeful, not just pasted on.

I’m Debjit. For me, the studio is where music becomes a conversation, whether I'm working with a legendary maestro or a new indie artist. I pour my years of training in the Farukhabad Gharana into every track, keeping the rhythm alive and breathing with your composition.
