Whether it is a film background score or an indie single, I bring specific setups—tuning my tabla sets to match your track's root key and optimizing mic positioning—to ensure you get clean, professional stems.
For me, the studio is not just a place of work. It is a space for 'sadhana', where I get to dig deep and lay down rhythms that serve the soul of your composition. My roots are firmly in the Farukhabad Gharana, passed down to me by my Guruji, the late Pandit Shubhankar Banerjee, but I believe music has no rigid rules.
How We Work Together
I am not just a session musician who walks in and plays. I thrive on the collaborative process. If we need to jam, experiment with sounds, or refine a Tihai for hours to get it right, I am there. I have worked on projects ranging from film background scores to indie singles like 'Scintillating Sarod'.
Technical Flexibility
When you book me for a session, you are getting more than just my hands on the tabla.
- Sound Quality: I provide raw, uncompressed WAV stems with separate tracks for Dayan and Bayan, giving you full flexibility during your mix.
- Adaptability: Whether you need a traditional Teentaal or a complex fusion rhythm for a drum-heavy track, I bring the right equipment. For longer sessions, I bring multiple sets of Dayan to handle scale shifts without losing tuning integrity.
- Studio Experience: I am based in Kolkata and frequently record at Studio Vibrations, but I am available to travel to your studio if required. I am comfortable with long hours and understand the pressure of last-minute deadlines in commercial production.
