About Studio Recording Sessions

Why Studio Recording Is My Kind of Sadhana

For me, a studio is not just about recording. It's where I get to dig deep, listen hard, and lay down rhythms that actually mean something. Working with all the gifted dadas and didis from our music world, we shape new sound, one beat at a time.

What I Bring to Your Project

I offer more than just hands on the Tabla. My rhythm finds its place in:

  • Music albums and singles - whether it’s a big label project or an indie singer’s first original. My tabla session recording has featured in albums like 'Scintillating Sarod'.
  • Film background score recording - I’ve helped composers create BGM for movies, and set the vibe for events like Gurugram Festival.
  • Fusion music production and experiments - blurring the lines, I love mixing traditional tabla with drums, rap, or whatever sounds fresh. Music has no rules, boss.

How I Work With You

I’m not just another session guy. When you call me in:

  • I go all-in on the creative process. If we need to jam, argue, or experiment for days, I’m there.
  • I’m used to long hours and last-minute deadlines. Studio life is like that - we get the job done, in a pro setup.

My Roots & My Sound

I started out with Farukhabad Gharana, thanks to my Guruji, late Pt. Shubhankar Banerjee. That’s my base. But I mix it up as the music asks - teentaal, contemporary classical music tracks, or something wild. Rhythm is my language, and I’m ready to speak it for your project.

Dhin dhin dha... let’s make something real.

My Story

Never thought I'd write this much, but that last trip hit different. Grew up in a middle-class home, holidays were like, out of syllabus. Used to dream of just chilling somewhere, no tabla, no worries. Life got busy, dreams took a backseat, only work and gigs. Thanks to one special person, I finally paused, took a breath. Now, when I'm not drumming, I'm a proud dog dad—sometimes trying (and failing!) to play Dhaak at Durga Pujo. Pujo vibe is unbeatable, maa kasam (I swear)!

My Work

Tabla Performance & Education - I play tabla for concerts, recordings, solo gigs, and teach—love passing on my Farukhabad Gharana style.

Rooted in Farukhabad Gharana - My guru was Pandit Shubhankar Banerjee. I honour him by sharing his music and compositions.

Collaboration in Classical & Fusion - Playing with vocalists, dancers, and fellow musicians—whether duet or fusion—always makes the music special.

Kathak Tabla Accompaniment - Recently started performing with Kathak dancers. It’s a new rhythm world, and I’m loving the challenge.

Music as Devotion - For me, every tabla solo concert or private event is a spiritual journey. I try to play with heart and soul.
