This is my world of rhythm—a collection of studio sessions, collaborations, and live performances. Whether you need the precision of a classical Tihai or raw dholak energy, this is how I bring percussion to life.

This is me in my element during a recording session. You can see the focus and precision I bring to capture the perfect take, with a professional microphone setup to ensure every beat is clean and powerful. This is the dedication I offer for your music project.

Music is best made together. Here is a clip from a studio session with my band, Hum-Safar, working on a contemporary track. I can seamlessly blend my tabla and percussion skills with guitars, drums, and vocals to create a complete sound.

Dholak is all about raw, earthy energy. This video shows a high-energy dholak duet, demonstrating the intricate patterns and powerful rhythms I can create for Punjabi folk, pop, or any track that needs a vibrant beat.

This is a demonstration of a 'Chakardhar Tihai', a complex and technical composition in Indian classical music. It shows my deep training and ability to execute intricate tabla patterns with precision, a skill I bring to fusion and classical recordings.

Here is a soulful rendition of a classic qawwali by the great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. This shows my versatility in playing for Sufi and devotional music, capturing the spiritual and emotional depth required for the genre.

It is always an honor to be among great artists. Here I am with the amazing singer and composer Bpraak. I have had the opportunity to collaborate and connect with many talented people in the music industry.

Music is a family tradition. This is a clip from a recording session with my Papa ji, who is also a musician. We are laying down dholak tracks together, showing the chemistry and experience that comes from a lifetime of playing music.

A close up view of my handwork on the tabla. This clip focuses on the finger techniques and speed I use to produce a range of sounds, from sharp, clear strokes to deep bass tones, which are essential for a dynamic tabla recording.

About Featured

When you book a session with me, you aren't just getting a rhythm track; you get clean, high-resolution WAV stems ready for your mix. I focus on capturing the authentic resonance of the instrument, meaning you get individual layers—from the sharp, clear strokes of a Tabla to the deep, earthy bass of a Dholak—that actually fit your production without fighting for space.

My approach to recording is built on collaboration. Whether we are working on a high-tempo Bollywood item number, a soulful Sufi qawwali, or a contemporary fusion track, I treat every session as a 'new koshish' (new effort).

Why work with me?

  • Authentic Sound: I don't rely on generic loops. I play live, capturing the subtle variations in dynamics, touch, and speed that define real Indian percussion.
  • Production Friendly: I provide multitrack stems for fusion arrangements, giving you full control during the mixing stage. You get the base rhythm, the fillers (Laggi/Ladi), and the accent percussion as separate, clean files.
  • Versatility: My setup is designed to be mobile. I travel to your studio of choice within Delhi NCR to ensure we get the perfect take in an environment where you are comfortable.

The Process

Music is best made together. If you are working on a fusion track, we can sit down and experiment with rhythm structures—adding Tihais, breaks, or complex bridges that elevate the song. I bring my experience from years of training with my Papa ji and playing with bands like Saaz-e-Mehfil to ensure the rhythm supports the melody, not the other way around. If you are looking for that specific 'Tabla Beat Breaker' sound, let’s get into the studio and make it happen.

Music runs in my veins, thanks to my Papa ji, my guru. I'm just a guy who loves to find the groove, whether I'm teaching at my academy or laying down tracks in a studio. Har Har Mahadev.
