Real MMA Training and Traditional Martial Arts in Bangalore
Training is about more than just sweat. It is about roots, discipline, and building a body that can actually fight. Welcome to the core of BFC Bodyforce.
This is where the real game begins. I combine the footwork and discipline of traditional arts like Silambam with the power of modern combat sports. You will learn to be a complete fighter, from the ground up.
This is our Kalari master, Moideen Rafi. Kalaripayattu is the mother of all martial arts, and the flexibility you build here is unmatched. This is not a gym workout; this is true body control.
Real training involves real weapons. Under the guidance of our ashan, you will learn to use the sword and shield, connecting with an ancient warrior tradition. This is about focus, precision, and respect for the art.
The tradition must continue. Here, I am teaching my son the basics of Silambam stick rotation. This is more than just a skill; it is a legacy I am passing to the next generation, just as it was passed to me.
I have represented India in the octagon and I bring that real-world fight experience to my coaching. In this podcast, I talk about my journey from Kerala to the pro-MMA circuit and the discipline it takes to succeed.
The footwork you learn in Silambam is the foundation for everything else. It improves your balance, speed, and agility, giving you a serious advantage in boxing or MMA. Here, I demonstrate the basic movements.
About Featured
Many gyms focus on looking the part, but here we focus on playing the part. My training combines the ancient footwork and weapon control of Silambam with modern combat techniques. When you train here, you are not just learning to punch; you are learning how to move with purpose and control, the same way I prepare for the octagon.
I started my journey as a 10-year-old in Kerala, and I took that same fire to the international octagon. At BFC Bodyforce, we do not believe in shortcuts or flashy fitness trends. We believe in the foundational strength provided by our traditional arts.
The BFC Approach
My coaching philosophy is simple: Nammal oru team aanu (We are one team). We train in an industrial gym setting in Bangalore, equipped with professional MMA mats. We do not have AC or fancy lights because real fighting does not happen in a climate-controlled room.
Why Tradition Matters
We integrate Kalaripayattu and Silambam because they provide physical conditioning that a standard gym cannot replicate.
- Kalaripayattu: Our ashan, Moideen Rafi, teaches the original style to build extreme flexibility and body control.
- Silambam: This is not just stick fighting. It is the secret to the footwork, balance, and agility I use in my own boxing and MMA fights.
Your Commitment
Whether you are a beginner or a fighter, the expectation is the same. We focus on rigorous conditioning, pad drills, and honest technique. This is for people who want to reconnect with their roots and build true fighting basics. If you are ready to put in the work and respect the lineage, you belong here.
