Martial Arts Training and Student Success
A look at the discipline, grit, and results we build at NMFA. From beginner basics to competitive championships, see how we train our next generation of fighters.
This is a look into our complete fitness approach, combining strength training with weights, kickboxing drills on the heavy bag, bodyweight push-ups, and core workouts. We build well-rounded athletes by focusing on power, endurance, and flexibility all in one session.
Our kids' MMA and BJJ program focuses on teaching fundamental grappling and ground control techniques in a safe and structured environment. I teach them how to work with a partner to practice escapes and positions, building discipline and confidence from a young age.
Here, we practice a practical BJJ escape from the mount position, a crucial skill for self-defense. This sequence shows how to use leverage and technique to reverse a disadvantaged position, empowering students with real-world skills.
A glimpse into our group boxing class, where students start with conditioning drills like burpees before moving on to technique. I provide personal pad work to help each student refine their punches, footwork, and defensive movements.
These are proud moments from the 4th National Open Karate & Kickboxing Championship in Mumbai. It is an honor to see my students' hard work pay off as they earn medals and our academy receives recognition.
We build explosive power and agility with plyometric drills like this 10-step high jump. This is a key part of our combat conditioning, designed to improve vertical leap and overall athleticism for martial arts.
Here I am demonstrating a jump spin kick, a dynamic Taekwondo technique that requires balance, precision, and power. This is an advanced striking method we practice to improve coordination and kicking ability.
About this collection
We don't just teach you how to fight. Our sessions combine boxing, BJJ, and strength conditioning, focusing on technical precision rather than just force. Whether you're here to lose weight or train for a tournament, the workout is intense, personal, and grounded in real-world application.
Training Beyond the Basics
At NMFA, our approach is hybrid. You aren't just doing cardio; you're learning the mechanics of striking, takedowns, and ground control. We keep our batches between 10 to 15 students because I need to see your form. If your punch is off or your stance is weak, we fix it on the spot.
Who This Is For
I train everyone from four-year-olds finding their balance to corporate professionals looking to de-stress through combat training. You do not need to be an athlete to start.
- For Beginners: We focus on conditioning and learning the basics of Karate and Kickboxing to build your confidence.
- For Competitors: We run dedicated drills for Kata and Kumite, focusing on the agility and power needed for the federation tournament circuit.
- For Fitness Seekers: Our combat conditioning blends plyometrics and core work to get you fit, whether you choose our Malleshpalya dojo or a home session.
Our Philosophy
Success in our gym is measured in two ways: the medals on our wall and the way you carry yourself outside the door. Discipline is the core of everything. Whether you are learning to escape a mount position in BJJ or practicing a jump spin kick, the focus is on building the habit of excellence. We aren't just building fighters; we are building people who know they have the strength to keep going.
National Martial Arts and Fitness Academy
I’m Coach Praba, and I run NMFA like a family, not a gym. My focus is simple: build respect and discipline first, then turn you into a technical fighter.
