Kalaripayattu & Silambam Training for MMA in Bengaluru
We do not train for demonstrations or festivals. We use Kalaripayattu and Silambam to build the specific speed, stability, and footwork that actually win fights.
I blend modern MMA with the ancient wisdom of Indian martial arts. Here you see Kalaripayattu training, which we use to develop unique footwork, speed, and agility.
Practicing with a Silambam stick. This traditional training improves wrist strength, coordination, and footwork, all of which translate directly to boxing and MMA.
About this collection
If you watch my sparring, you will see the difference. Most modern MMA fighters have predictable, linear movement. Integrating Kalari footwork allows me to change angles and evade strikes in ways that aren't taught in standard kickboxing gyms. We aren't doing this for show. We are doing this to make you faster, harder to track, and unpredictable in the cage.
Kalaripayattu is not just about heritage. It is about ground connection. When you learn how to control your hips and core through these traditional disciplines, your striking power increases. We apply Silambam stick drills specifically to improve wrist dexterity and reaction time. If you can handle a stick at high speed, handling a pair of four-ounce MMA gloves becomes easier.
This training happens inside BFC Bodyforce. It is hot, sweaty, and technical. There are no mirrors and no shortcuts. We drill the same motion until it is muscle memory. If you are looking for a gentle weekend hobby, this is not it. This is combat preparation. Whether you are a beginner looking to understand your own balance or an experienced fighter needing to fix a flaw in your movement, these techniques apply to your reality. We strip away the unnecessary and keep the effective.
Abdul Muneer
I am known as The Cut Man. I have fought for India on the world stage, and now I run BFC Bodyforce to build the next generation of fighters. I do not believe in teaching moves that look good on social media but fail in a real fight. We build fighters who respect the roots of Indian combat but fight with modern, efficient pressure.
