Yoga for Deep Relaxation and Conscious Rest
Your mind is likely tired of the constant chatter. In these sessions, we use Yoga Nidra to press the reset button, shifting you from survival mode into deep, restorative rest. No flexibility required—just show up and let go.
This flyer for my Yoga Nidra workshop explains the core benefit: deep, sleep like rest for your body and mind. It's a powerful tool for anyone feeling anxious or fatigued.
In this video still, I'm explaining the concept of Yoga Nidra. It’s important to me that you understand what to expect so you can enter the experience with an open and receptive mind.
The goal of these relaxation workshops is to help you connect with your real self. We explore how to find calmness and release what no longer serves us, without judgment.
Your body has its own pharmacy. This chart shows how activities like meditation and exercise naturally produce chemicals that help us relax, sleep, and feel good. My workshops help you tap into this innate power.
Our bodies are not designed to live in constant survival mode. Yoga helps shift the nervous system from a stressed state to a relaxed one, which is the foundation of mental clarity and emotional balance.
About Yoga for Deep Relaxation
A lot of people walk in thinking they need to 'do' something to relax, but Yoga Nidra is the exact opposite. You don't need to hold poses or focus on your breath. You just lie down in Savasana, and I guide you into that space between wakefulness and sleep. It is completely passive, and honestly, if you fall asleep, that just means your body needed the rest.
Why we need to switch off
We are living in a constant state of alert. Between work, deadlines, and the endless scroll of our phones, our sympathetic nervous system is perpetually triggered. This leaves us feeling stressed, frustrated, and unable to make clear decisions. My relaxation workshops aren't just about 'feeling good'; they are about giving your nervous system the physical permission to exit survival mode.
What happens in a session?
Yoga Nidra is not a physical workout. You will be lying down in a guided meditation session for 60 to 75 minutes. I use specific vocal cues to keep your brain right on the edge of sleep—the hypnagogic state. This is where the magic happens. Your brain waves slow down, allowing you to process unresolved emotions and release stored tension that simple sleep often misses.
Is this for you?
Absolutely. You don't need any prior yoga experience. This is for the person who feels 'always on', for the individual battling insomnia, or for anyone who feels like their brain just won't switch off at night. I provide all the comfort essentials like bolsters and blankets, but please come on an empty stomach.
What to expect afterward
You might feel a mix of emotions or just a profound sense of quiet. I keep these batches small—capped at 15 participants—specifically so I can offer you personal guidance and support if something comes up during the integration phase. You are safe here to simply be.
