About Find Calm: Yoga for Stress, Anxiety & Sleep
I don’t believe in cookie-cutter routines because your stress is unique. We focus on specific, actionable flows like 'Viparita Karani' (Legs-Up-The-Wall) to physically reset your nervous system. In our sessions, we modify these movements using household props like chairs or walls to match your energy levels, making the practice sustainable even on your most chaotic days.
Why Yoga is More Than Just a Stretch
Stress lives in the body. When you're anxious or struggling to sleep, your muscles hold onto tension and your breathing becomes shallow. My approach is to address this at the root. Whether we are practicing online or at my studio in Talaghattapura, I use a blend of restorative asanas and breathwork to signal your body to switch from 'fight or flight' to 'rest and digest.'
My Approach to Anxiety and Sleep
- Nervous System Reset: We start by slowing things down. Techniques like Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) are science-backed methods I’ve seen work wonders for mental clarity.
- Sleep Hygiene Flows: If you struggle with insomnia, we work on gentle, restorative poses before bed. These are designed to lower your heart rate and prepare the mind for deep rest.
- Adaptive Practice: You don't need a perfectly flexible body. If you have back pain, we adapt. If you have limited space, we adapt. The goal is progress, not perfection.
Scientific Foundations
My practice is built on a mix of traditional philosophy and modern science. Having worked at institutions like AIIMS, I’ve seen how Bhramari pranayama can impact brain wave patterns. It is not just about belief; it is about physiology. I bring that same evidence-based, compassionate care to every session, ensuring you feel stronger and calmer by the end of our time together.
Jahan himmat khatm hoti hai, wahan se yoga shuru hota hai (Where courage ends, yoga begins). Let's take that first step together.
