Strategy, leverage, and the Gi. Learn the traditional side of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu where technique beats size every time.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy a Gi, which is close enough. Here our students are drilling takedowns specific to Gi Jiu-Jitsu, using lapel and sleeve grips to off-balance their partners.

This is Gi Jiu-Jitsu, or as I like to call it, human chess. Here you can see two of our senior members flowing, using grips on the uniform to set up sweeps and submissions. It’s a constant battle of strategy and leverage.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Our Gi classes are filled with students at every stage of that journey, all working together to improve.

Our fundamentals class is the perfect place to start. Here, a coach demonstrates a basic guard pass to a group of beginners, breaking it down step by step.

The team is getting ready for the ASJJF Asian Open Championship. This clip shows the intensity of our competition training, with everyone pushing the pace in their Gi.

A Sunday competition training session for our Gi players. The focus is on high percentage techniques and strategies to prepare for tournament day.

Getting out of a tough spot with technique, not just muscle. This is the essence of Gi Jiu-Jitsu, and we drill these escapes until they become second nature.

About The Art of Gi Jiu-Jitsu

Unlike No-Gi training, putting on the Gi changes the game entirely. You have to handle lapel grips, sleeve control, and a much more tactical pace. It forces you to think three moves ahead because every inch of fabric is an opportunity for your opponent to control you, or for you to execute a sweep. We focus on these micro-adjustments so you learn to use leverage over brute force.

We call Gi Jiu-Jitsu human chess for a reason. In our sessions, it is not just about physical exertion, it is about solving a puzzle while someone is actively trying to stop you. Whether you are aiming to compete or just want to learn effective self-defense, the Gi adds a layer of depth that No-Gi simply does not have.

Our coaching philosophy is simple: Rato mat yaar, cheezein samjho bas. Do not just memorize moves from a video. We teach you the underlying principles of weight distribution, grip fighting, and positional dominance. When you train in the Gi, you learn how to use an opponent's clothing against them, which is a vital skill for real-world scenarios.

The path here is long. BJJ belt progression is a marathon, not a sprint. We prioritize consistency over intensity, helping you build a solid foundation before you ever worry about your next stripe. Our classes are structured to accommodate everyone, from total beginners taking their first step to experienced practitioners prepping for the Asian Open. We provide the climate-controlled environment and the mat time, but the discipline to show up is all on you. If you are ready to learn, our tribe is ready to welcome you.
