Sustainable Strength and Mobility Coaching
I build training programs that focus on longevity, not just quick results. At Troop, we combine strength and mobility to help you move better, recover faster, and train for the long run.
This is the core of my philosophy. Flexibility isn't about passive, gentle stretching. It's about active, strength-based work that builds control and resilience in your joints. We use tools like dumbbells and plyo boxes to progressively load our stretches, teaching the body to be strong in its new ranges of motion.
I started Troop to create a space focused on sustainable fitness and longevity. My approach combines strength training with dedicated mobility and flexibility work to build a body that moves well and stays resilient for years, not just for a single session.
This is what earning your flexibility looks like. Here, my clients are using kettlebells in a Jefferson curl to safely load the spine and hamstrings. This method builds active control and strength through the entire range of motion, which is key for long-term gains.
My job is to guide, support, and celebrate every small win with my clients. It's about creating a positive environment where people feel empowered to push their boundaries safely and build confidence in their movement.
I'm open about my own fitness journey, including setbacks like tennis elbow. Understanding the 'why' behind an injury is the first step to fixing it. I use a methodical process of rest, targeted isometrics, and strengthening surrounding muscles to not just heal, but to come back stronger and prevent it from happening again.
You don't always need a gym to improve your mobility and strength. This is a simple, effective routine you can do at home with zero equipment to open up your hips, spine, and shoulders, proving that consistency is more important than a fancy setup.
Seeing my clients achieve goals like the splits is what it's all about. We build up to advanced positions like this by developing end-range strength, using tools like parallettes to support the body while actively controlling the movement. It's not a party trick; it's earned, controlled flexibility.
About this collection
Most people think flexibility comes from just holding a static stretch for a few minutes. That rarely creates lasting change. To actually unlock your joints, you need to load them. In our sessions at Troop HQ in Domlur, we use dumbbells, kettlebells, and controlled bodyweight drills to make you strong in every range of motion. It is not passive stretching; it is active, controlled work that builds resilience so you can move without pain.
Training for the Long Run
I founded Troop because I was tired of fitness trends that prioritize intensity over longevity. After battling tennis elbow and navigating my own recovery, I realized that true strength isn't just about moving heavy weight—it's about how well you can move your own body through space.
Why Our Approach Works
- Loaded Mobility: We treat mobility as a skill. By adding external resistance to your stretches, we teach your nervous system to be comfortable and strong in end-range positions.
- Small Group Focus: We cap sessions at 6 members. This isn't just a gym; it’s a coached environment. Whether you are working on your first handstand or just trying to squat without back pain, I am there to provide tactile cues and technical adjustments.
- Sustainable Progress: We don't believe in quick fixes. We believe in progressive overload. My programs are designed to fit your life, not consume it, ensuring you build a body that feels good both inside and outside the studio.
The Troop HQ Experience
Located in Domlur, our space is stripped back and functional. You won't find rows of cardio machines here. Instead, you'll find stall bars, wooden rings, and the equipment we actually need to build raw strength. We train, we share the work, and we get better together. If you are ready to stop guessing and start training with a clear, methodical plan, you are in the right place.
The Troop Fit
I’m Anuj, and I’m a strength and mobility coach. I spent years chasing aggressive training goals until I realized that pushing to the point of injury wasn't making me stronger, just more broken. Now, I run Troop to help others build fitness that lasts, using methods that prioritize joint health alongside muscle gain.
