Inside Troop HQ: Our Purpose-Built Training Space
We didn’t just rent a gym; we built one from scratch to prioritize movement quality and community over flash. Here is the story behind our home base in Domlur.
The beginning of a new chapter. Standing in the middle of the construction site for Troop HQ, I was excited for the journey ahead to build my dream studio.
The process of building Troop HQ from the ground up. Here, the rubber flooring is being laid, one of the first steps in turning an empty space into a functional training facility.
The countdown begins. With just 10 days to go, the final pieces were coming together. The wrenches and bolts on the floor are a testament to the hands-on work that went into building every part of this space.
Six months of Troop HQ. The morning sun hitting the floor of the finished studio. It's been an amazing journey of building not just a gym, but a community.
Build consistency everywhere, the gym is just the start. A view of our finished space, designed to be both functional and inspiring.
About this collection
Walking into the studio, you won't see rows of machines or polished chrome. We built Troop HQ with high-density rubber flooring, stall bars, and open floor space because our training relies on active movement and bodyweight control. Every piece of equipment, from the parallettes to the resistance bands, was chosen to support a practice that prioritizes joint longevity rather than just chasing heavy numbers.
When we started, the goal was simple: stop the cycle of burn-out. I had spent years in conventional gyms that felt disconnected, where training was something you just 'got through.' Troop HQ was designed to be the opposite. We wanted an environment that respects the process of building strength.
The construction itself was a hands-on project. We laid the rubber floors and set up the rigs with the intent of creating a space that feels like a home base for consistent work. You aren't here for quick fixes or fads; you’re here for the kind of training that keeps your joints healthy for the long run.
This facility in Domlur is purposefully non-AC and industrial. We rely on good ventilation and hard work. With the floor space dedicated to gymnastics tools like rings and stall bars, we have room for the mobility and strength work that most gyms don't accommodate. This space is a reflection of my own journey—from dealing with tennis elbow to finding the patience required for handstands. It’s where I learned that environment dictates behavior. If you want to train for longevity, you need a space that encourages focus, feedback, and community. Whether you are working on your split depth or perfecting a handstand, you are in a space built for the grind, not the glitz.
The Troop Fit
I'm Anuj, and I built this space because I needed a place where training felt smart, not punishing. Troop HQ isn't about looking the part; it’s about actually feeling capable in your own body. If you’re ready to stop chasing fads and start building sustainable strength, come by the studio.
