About Inside the Dojo: Daily Training & Drills
We train on high-impact 25mm EVA puzzle mats to ensure safety during high-intensity sparring and takedown drills. Every 60-minute session follows a structured flow: we open with formal bowing to instill discipline, move into specific technique drills like kata or pad work, and conclude with a conditioning circuit designed to improve stamina and flexibility.
At NMFA in Malleshpalya, our daily training is designed to build athletes, not just fighters. Whether you are joining our 3-day regular batch or our 6-day competition intensive, the core philosophy remains the same: excellence is a habit built through consistent effort.
Why Our Training Works
- Technical Precision: We break down complex moves like spinning kicks or defensive blocks into smaller, actionable steps. This allows beginners to build a strong foundation without frustration and helps advanced students refine their form.
- Conditioned for Performance: Martial arts isn't just about the strike; it is about the engine behind it. Every session includes 15-20 minutes of dedicated conditioning—push-ups, agility ladder work, and core circuits—to ensure you are fit enough to execute your techniques under pressure.
- Small Batch Focus: We keep our group classes limited to 10-15 students. This ensures that Coach Praba and our team can provide hands-on corrections for every student, making sure nobody gets lost in the crowd.
The Progression Path
We operate on a formal, merit-based belt system. Every student, starting from age four, learns that progress is earned. From white belt to black belt, the testing process teaches goal setting and the value of showing up, even on the days you don't feel like it. We focus on real-world self-defense readiness alongside tournament preparation, so you leave every session feeling more capable than you were when you walked in.
