We transform standard apartments into light-filled sanctuaries, using a palette of warm woods and natural textures to create spaces that feel both modern and calm.

A diptych showing details of a master bedroom in a contemporary apartment. We used a combination of a dark textured accent wall, warm wood headboard, and soft blue and aqua textiles to create a sophisticated yet cozy retreat.

The living room features a full-height wooden entertainment wall with a sleek, floating console. The warm wood tones are balanced by the light-colored flooring and sheer curtains, making the space feel expansive and bright.

The bedroom is designed to be a peaceful sanctuary, with a ceiling fan for comfort and large glass doors that connect the space to the outdoors.

About Contemporary Apartment Living

In apartment spaces, we prioritize maximizing the perception of scale. By utilizing full-height joinery and floating consoles, we reduce visual clutter to ensure that even compact rooms feel airy and connected. We focus on the flow between your private sanctuary and the exterior, using sheer drapery and natural materials to soften the boundary between indoors and the outside world.

Our Approach to Apartment Living

Transitioning our tropical contemporary design language into an apartment context requires a shift in perspective. We treat these vertical homes not as standardized boxes, but as vessels for light and cross-ventilation. When working on apartments in Bengaluru, we focus on layout optimization to ensure every square foot contributes to the overall sense of spaciousness.

Materiality and Craft

Our material palette is chosen for both longevity and warmth. We frequently use Kota stone and large-format vitrified tiles for flooring, paired with Burmese teak for joinery and doors. These materials provide a grounding, earthy contrast to the crisp, modern lines of our architectural interventions. We avoid heavy, imposing furniture, preferring custom-built, wall-mounted units that keep the floor plane clear and the room feeling expansive.

Designing for Light and Air

Light defines the mood of a space. In our apartment projects, we strategically manage fenestration, using powder-coated aluminum or UPVC window systems that allow for large glass panes while maintaining thermal efficiency. By controlling the light, we create a dialogue between the interior and the balcony, turning even small outdoor attachments into an extension of the living area. This is how we bring the 'tropical' feeling into the city, ensuring your home remains a peaceful retreat from the bustle outside.
