Contemporary and Biophilic Home Design in Bengaluru
Modern lines paired with natural light and greenery. Discover how we design homes that feel like a sanctuary amidst the city.
This spacious double-height courtyard is the heart of one of our residential projects in Bengaluru. The combination of a laterite-clad wall, a floating staircase with glass railings, and circular skylights creates a dynamic play of light and natural texture.
A recently completed residential project in HSR Layout that showcases our approach to modern architecture. The design features clean lines, large glass windows for ample light, and functional wooden louvers that provide both privacy and ventilation.
We transformed this terrace into a functional outdoor living area. The design incorporates a lush lawn, stone pavers, and a built-in brick seating area, creating a perfect space for relaxation that blends architecture with landscape.
This video shows the finished details of a recent project, from the exposed brick facade to the unique circular skylights that illuminate the interior. We believe in using raw, honest materials to create visually interesting and modern homes.
About Contemporary & Biophilic Homes
When planning for biophilic elements like internal courtyards or vertical gardens, the structural foundation is critical. We integrate drainage, soil preparation, and natural light pathways during the initial shell construction phase, ensuring you get the lush greenery without the common headaches of water seepage or poor ventilation.
Biophilic design is often misunderstood as simply adding plants to a room. For us, it starts with the architecture itself. We use techniques like circular skylights and double-height living spaces to create a chimney effect, drawing hot air out and keeping your home naturally cool during Bengaluru's warmer months.
Why Materials Matter
We prefer raw, honest materials. Laterite stone cladding and exposed brick are not just aesthetic choices. They provide excellent thermal mass, which helps regulate internal temperatures, and they age gracefully, unlike synthetic finishes that chip or fade over time. When we design a contemporary home, we look for this balance where form serves function.
Our Process Approach
We are Process Architects for a reason. We do not believe in handing over a glossy, finished space that looks good only in photos. We get involved when the building is a concrete shell, allowing us to align the electrical points, plumbing, and structural openings with your actual lifestyle. Whether you want a terrace garden that acts as an extension of your living room or a brass-inlay partition to separate your workspace, we design it to fit your daily routine.
If you are looking for a home that feels like a safe hug rather than a showroom, let us discuss your requirements. We focus on the long-term livability of your space.
