About this collection
Every piece starts with a conversation. When you visit my HSR Layout studio, we do not just take measurements; we sketch out the story you want your blouse to tell. Whether you are bringing a specific motif from your family archives or choosing between velvet and raw silk, this initial design session ensures your final piece is as unique as your event.
My studio is where the magic happens, though the reality is often messy threads, sketches scattered on tables, and hours of focused handwork.
From Sketch to Stitch
Designing your blouse is a journey. We start by discussing the 'Katha' or the narrative you want to wear. Are we weaving a scene from mythology? Do you want your wedding date embroidered into the sleeve? Once we have the concept, I draw the initial sketches. We then select the base fabric—be it rich Banarasi silk or soft velvet—and plan the embroidery placement.
The Human Touch
Behind every piece are the hands of my skilled team. We use techniques like zardosi, French knots, and 3D applique to bring depth to the fabric. You might see me admiring a finished Pichwai motif on a Paithani blouse or debating the perfect shade of thread for a jewelled neckline. It is rarely a smooth, perfectly polished process, but that is exactly how we ensure every detail is intentional.
Your Role in the Process
You are a partner in this. I encourage you to be involved in the design discussions. Whether it is selecting the latkans or deciding on the density of the pearl work, your input turns a simple blouse into a keepsake. My goal is to make sure that when you wear the final piece, you do not just see embroidery; you see a reflection of your own story.
