Before you see the final flare, there is significant construction happening on our studio mannequins. Whether it is the internal boning structure for a corset or the manual placement of 3D floral appliqués, I want you to see how we build the support and silhouette into your gown, not just the surface details.
At Malikaa Couture, your gown is not pulled from a rack. It is a process that begins with a conversation. We review your references, from Pinterest boards to magazine clippings, and start with the draping. My team spends hours on the mannequin to ensure the bodice structure—the boning and padded cups—gives you the exact fit you need.
For the Gulfam collection, you can see how we layer tulle and net before even touching the needle for the heavy work. Then comes the embroidery. We do not just use machine work; we manually place every 3D floral appliqué, pearl, and bead to ensure the balance is right. This isn't just about how the dress looks from afar; it is about the texture when you touch it. We conduct multiple trial fittings to adjust waist clips and hems, ensuring that by the time you step into the dress for your wedding, it feels like a second skin, not just a costume.
