About this collection
Every piece in this collection starts as a conversation about your personal history. Whether you want to feature a specific motif like the Radha-Krishna vignette or capture a memory from your family roots, I sketch the narrative before we touch the fabric, ensuring the embroidery acts as a reflection of your own identity rather than just a pattern.
My design process is built around the Katha philosophy, which means every element on your blouse has a purpose. We work with premium fabrics like Banarasi silks, velvets, and organza, using traditional techniques that require patience and precision.
The Art of the Narrative
When we plan a piece, we decide which stories to tell. The Nemali Vanam designs use layered silk and velvet tufts to recreate the majesty of a peacock, while the Kamalam blouses use sheer organza and pearls to depict the quiet resilience of the lotus. These aren't just decorative elements; they are symbolic choices that define the character of the garment.
Technical Craftsmanship
I specialize in Zardosi, but I also integrate French knots, cutwork, and 3D embroidery to give depth to our designs. For a bridal muhurtham piece, we might use heavier zardosi and jewelled necklines to replace the need for heavy jewelry. For a reception or sangeet, we might focus on lighter, more contemporary work with sequins and katdana.
Working Together
Located in HSR Layout, my studio is where we map out your vision. Because this is detailed handwork, please plan for a creation timeline of 20 to 25 days. I am happy to use your own saree fabric if you have a specific match in mind, or we can select from my studio's premium raw silks and velvets.
