Weddings are a family affair. From mothers of the bride to close family, these designs bring timeless elegance to every generation.

Here I am with my daughter, discussing a maroon and gold zardosi blouse made for a mother of the groom, designed to be royal and timeless.

The katori-style raw silk blouse for Geetha Lokesh, featuring heavy zardosi and hand-embroidered elephants and birds on the sleeves.

The dramatic cut-edge back of the maroon blouse, adding a touch of modern drama.

A frontal view of the same blouse, showing the asymmetrical embroidery.

A vibrant, two-toned blouse for Geetha, blending mustard raw silk and pink banarasi silk, perfect for a morning event.

The back of the two-toned blouse, featuring a stunning keyhole cutout and an embroidered tassel.

About this collection

When designing for family, we focus on balancing traditional ceremony with everyday comfort. I often work with mothers of the bride or groom to create pieces that feel regal but not heavy. We pay close attention to the fabric weight and the cut, ensuring the hand-embroidery sits perfectly on your shoulders so you can comfortably move through long wedding rituals.

Creating a family heirloom is different from designing a bridal piece. It requires a different kind of restraint and attention to heritage. Often, I work with women who want to incorporate a piece of their history, like a classic Kanjeevaram silk from a previous generation, into a fresh design.

In my HSR Layout studio in Bengaluru, we start by looking at your fabric. If it is heavy silk, we plan the Zardosi and thread work to complement the weave rather than cover it up. I use double lining and custom padding for all my family pieces. This ensures that even with dense 3D florals, pearls, or stone work, the structure stays solid and the fit remains comfortable for hours.

Whether you need a blouse for a Muhurtham, a reception, or a simple morning ritual, I focus on the story you want to tell. Do you want something understated that lets your jewelry shine, or a statement piece with intricate motif work? We will sketch it out together. My goal is to ensure you feel like yourself, just a little more polished and confident, standing by the bride or groom.
