About this collection
For these bridal pieces, the process is as meaningful as the final stitch. When we work on a narrative scene—like a Doli procession or deity motif—it requires hundreds of hours of precision to get the gold zardosi and 3D figures just right. Because these are complex, heirloom-grade designs, I need at least 25 days to finish each piece, so let’s start our conversation well before your muhurtham date.
Every Muhurtham piece I create starts with your story. Whether you want to reflect temple architecture, a traditional wedding procession, or a specific mythological moment, my role is to interpret that vision into wearable art. I work primarily with premium raw silks and velvets, which provide the structural integrity needed to support the weight of heavy, intricate handwork.
My signature approach involves dense Zardosi work, where antique gold threads, real pearls, and Kundan stones are layered to create depth. You will often see me incorporating 3D embroidery—raised figures of deities or bridal scenes that stand out against the fabric, rather than just lying flat.
If you visit my HSR Layout studio, we will look at swatches and sketch the neckline together. I recommend high, closed backs or jewelled necklines for Muhurtham blouses, as they often replace the need for heavy necklaces, allowing the embroidery to frame your face and jewelry perfectly. We can also weave in personal details, such as your wedding date or names, hiding them within the motifs. Because I handle all the design and embroidery supervision myself, my capacity is limited. I treat every blouse as a permanent keepsake, ensuring the finishing—from the sweat pads to the premium piping—is as robust as the embroidery is beautiful.
