About this collection
These aren't your average, stiff yoga classes. In my Primal Flow sessions, we focus on animal-inspired locomotion to build functional strength and joint mobility. For Qigong, we slow down, shifting focus to energy cultivation and breath awareness. You get small group attention—usually 8 to 15 people—at my studio spaces on Kasturba Road or Ashok Nagar. Oh, and expect a furry supervisor or two to wander across your mat; it is part of the authentic, judgment-free environment I love to create.
My approach to Primal Flow and Qigong comes from a place of personal experience. As a former national athlete, I spent years pushing my body to its absolute limits, but I eventually learned that health is about balance, not just intensity.
Why Primal Flow & Qigong?
Primal Flow is all about reconnecting with natural movement patterns. We use animal-inspired exercises to strengthen the body, improve agility, and build functional muscle without the boredom of a typical gym workout. It is dynamic, fun, and challenges your coordination.
On the flip side, Qigong is my go-to for when things get chaotic. These slow, deliberate movements help cultivate energy, calm the nervous system, and improve your overall balance. I often integrate sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls during my sessions to ensure you leave feeling truly restored.
What to Expect
- Small Groups: My classes are intimate, usually 8 to 15 participants. This allows me to actually guide you rather than just demoing poses from the front.
- The Vibe: No judgment, ever. We are here to move, breathe, and have a good time. Sometimes we laugh at ourselves, and sometimes we sit in silence.
- My Studios: I hold sessions at The BlackBx Studio on Kasturba Road and Golden Bead in Ashok Nagar. Both are comfortable, dedicated spaces where you can disconnect from the city rush.
- Props & Support: I provide the blocks, straps, and mobility dowels. All you need to do is bring your own mat and show up ready to move.
Bhavya Mandanna
I'm Bhavya. Growing up as a national athlete taught me discipline, but yoga and movement taught me how to actually enjoy my body again. I teach because I want you to feel that same freedom—strong, pain-free, and maybe a little playful, even if it means my cats crash the practice.
