My Personal Yoga Practice and Mindful Reminders
Yoga is a conversation with your body and soul. These glimpses into my practice are a gentle reminder that being alive is precious, and you don’t need to be a pro to find freedom on the mat.
A morning flow on a balcony surrounded by greenery, moving through a gentle lunge sequence. It's a reminder that being alive is precious and that your existence is important. Never doubt that.
A quiet moment with the setting sun, finding a deep stretch in Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana (Extended Hand-to-Big-Toe Pose). Nature is my favorite studio, and sunsets are a perfect time to practice gratitude.
Sitting by the holy Ganga river, I am reminded of life's flow and the importance of self-compassion. Remember, you are doing your best, and that is always enough.
About My Practice & Reminders
I don’t believe in forcing perfect poses or hitting a specific look for a photo. When I practice—whether by the Ganga or on my balcony in Bengaluru—I focus entirely on my breath and how my body feels in that moment. My classes always prioritize gentle alignment and mindful movement over athletic performance, because I believe yoga should be a release, not another source of stress in your day.
Yoga is a personal journey, not a competition. My practice is built on the belief that we all need to hit pause, disconnect from the daily grind, and actually listen to ourselves. When you join me, it’s never about nailing the perfect posture for the camera. It’s about the alignment that supports your body’s unique needs, whether you are dealing with desk-job aches, PCOS, or just a heavy mind.
Many of my students come to me feeling overwhelmed by the fast pace of city life. My approach blends Hatha yoga techniques with a focus on breathwork and meditation. We often forget to acknowledge our own existence, caught up in the race. My sessions, whether they are one-on-one therapy or group retreats, always carry this underlying tone: Jo ho achha (whatever happens is for the good).
If you are looking for a workout that leaves you feeling exhausted, this might not be the right space. But if you want to find freedom from fear, improve your flexibility, and learn how to manage stress through movement, I am here to guide you. You don't need to be a pro to start. Just bring your mat and an open mind. Let’s breathe, move, and find that calm together.
