Retail architecture today is about more than just square footage. We create spaces where people want to linger, interact, and return.

For the upcoming TDI Mall, we designed a facade with a clean grid of retail units and expansive glass panels. This enhances visual connectivity, while vertical fins and landscaped terraces add rhythm and vibrancy.

This render of the TDI Mall project shows how we use bold branding, illuminated vertical fins, and landscaped promenades to create an engaging and modern retail experience.

A curved glass volume crowns this portion of the mall's structure, breaking the linear flow with a bold architectural gesture. The design creates a landmark that is both functional and visually exciting.

The design for this mall focuses on creating a welcoming environment for shoppers. The ground floor features open storefronts and wide walkways, encouraging exploration and interaction.

A closer look at the storefront design. The combination of bright, clear branding spaces and large glass windows is designed to attract customers and showcase the retail offerings effectively.

This perspective shows the entire street-facing facade at dusk. The lighting design is crucial, highlighting the architecture and creating a safe, inviting atmosphere for evening shoppers.

The entrance to one of the anchor stores is designed as a glass pavilion with an angular roof. This creates a distinct and memorable entry point within the larger complex.

Landscaping is a key part of our commercial designs. Here, palm trees and planters are used along the promenade to soften the architecture and create a more pleasant, resort-like feel.

About Commercial Architecture: Designing Urban Experiences

In our commercial projects, we move beyond just maximizing floor space. For our work on the TDI Mall, we prioritized the facade's rhythm by using vertical fins and expansive glass volumes. This breaks the linear monotony and creates a direct visual connection between the street and the shop interiors, which is crucial for high-street retail visibility and attracting footfall.

The retail landscape in cities like ours is shifting. People no longer visit malls just to buy things; they go for the experience, the community, and the environment. As architects, our goal is to build spaces that compete with digital convenience by offering something physical and sensory.

The Anatomy of Our Commercial Projects

We approach commercial architecture through a lens of 'experiential urbanism'. For us, this means balancing the technical requirements—like FAR (Floor Area Ratio) calculations, fire safety, and parking efficiency—with human-centric design.

  • Facade & Rhythm: A building's face is its primary communication tool. We use vertical elements, louvers, and deep-set glazing to create depth and shadow, preventing the 'box' look that plagues older retail developments. This approach was central to our TDI Mall project, where the facade serves as a dynamic backdrop to the street.
  • Visual Connectivity: We focus on transparency. Large glass volumes and clear sightlines from the street level allow pedestrians to see the activity inside, which creates a sense of openness and accessibility.
  • Integrated Lighting: Lighting is the difference between a building that disappears at dusk and one that acts as a landmark. Our lighting schemes are designed to highlight architectural features, making the complex feel safe and vibrant well into the evening.

Practical Execution

We do not just hand over drawings and leave. Our service includes site coordination to ensure that what we plan is what gets built. Whether it is managing the installation of curtain walls, planning for signage integration, or ensuring that the public circulation paths are intuitive, we stay hands-on. We understand that in commercial design, efficiency is everything. If the layout does not work for the business, it does not work for the people.
