Modern Commercial and Public Space Architecture
Commercial architecture requires a strict balance between bold visual identity and rigorous spatial utility. We design retail and office environments that function as efficient business tools while establishing a distinct presence in the urban landscape.
A 3D render for a commercial building featuring a parametric façade made of perforated corten steel. This design provides a unique identity for the brand while controlling sunlight into the office spaces behind it.
An alternative concept for the commercial façade, this version uses a vertical perforated panel with integrated lighting and logos for multiple brands.
A design concept for an upcoming shopping mall in Dwarka. This proposal uses dark glass and sharp, angular forms with integrated lighting to create a dramatic and modern retail destination.
A second concept for the Dwarka mall, this time with a lighter color palette and curved, streamlined forms that evoke a retro-futuristic feel.
A housing proposal for a development in Bhopal. We designed these modern row houses with framed balconies, wood accents, and integrated planters to create a cohesive and attractive streetscape.
An alternative design for the Bhopal housing project, featuring angled rooflines and a mix of concrete and bamboo-like fencing for a contemporary yet natural feel.
An elevation render for an upcoming multi-story housing project in Mohali. The design breaks down the building's mass with a dynamic pattern of protruding and recessed balconies.
Our proposal for a commercial building in Tagore Park, featuring a striking façade with undulating parametric panels. This design turns the building itself into a piece of public art.
About Commercial & Public Spaces
When designing for commercial visibility, the facade must do more than project an image. It needs to regulate light, manage thermal gain, and act as a functional interface between your brand and the public street. We often utilize parametric modeling to create these exterior skins, ensuring they serve as energy-efficient assets rather than just aesthetic statements.
Commercial and public projects demand a different rigor than residential work. The goal is to maximize footfall, optimize circulation, and define a clear identity that resonates with the intended user base. Our approach focuses on technical precision, structural efficiency, and the long-term sustainability of the asset.
The Parametric Edge in Retail
For projects like our recent retail proposals in Dwarka, we move away from traditional block forms. By utilizing parametric design, we create fluid, dynamic shapes that capture attention from high-traffic areas. These designs are not merely artistic; they are engineered to control sunlight and ventilation, reducing operational costs for heating and cooling. The use of materials like perforated corten steel and smart glazing allows us to build facades that are structurally innovative yet durable.
Designing for Urban Context
In our commercial work, such as the upcoming Tagore Park project, we prioritize the building's dialogue with its surroundings. Whether it is a multi-storey housing development in Mohali or a public commercial space, we analyze site orientation to ensure that the design enhances the surrounding streetscape. We coordinate complex MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems early in the process to prevent conflicts between aesthetic goals and necessary infrastructure.
Our Commercial Design Process
- Site Analysis: We evaluate solar path, wind patterns, and traffic flow to position the building for maximum exposure and comfort.
- Structural Coordination: We handle cantilever challenges, large spans, and open-plan floors without compromising safety or structural integrity.
- Material Strategy: We select industrial-grade materials like zinc, concrete, and steel for their longevity and low maintenance requirements in high-traffic environments.
