About Our Community: In the Studio & Beyond
We do not just hold classes; we hold space. Whether it is our Yoga Art Brunch, teacher training graduations, or a simple tea after a morning batch, our studios are designed to be a sanctuary. You will find that the energy here is less about achieving perfect poses and more about showing up for one another.
At Asan Yoga, the community is the practice. We believe that true growth happens when you are surrounded by people who support your journey, whether you are a beginner or a teacher in training. Since our start in 2019, our studios in Vile Parle (Mumbai), Hinjewadi and Wakad (Pune), and our space in Thane have become gathering points for those seeking more than just a workout.
Why Our Community Matters
Yoga is often a solitary practice, but we make it a shared experience. When you join our group sessions, you are not just getting a sequence of asanas; you are entering an environment where you are seen and supported. Our members often talk about how they transitioned from other fitness forms—like weight training or cardio—to yoga, finding the emotional and mental healing they didn't know they needed.
Beyond the Mat
We bring the community together through various touchpoints:
- Workshops & Events: From our Yoga Art Brunch to intensive 5-day workshops, we constantly look for ways to step out of the standard studio routine.
- Shared Learning: Our Yoga Teacher Training (YTTC) creates deep bonds, as students grow together through the rigorous process of becoming instructors.
- Supportive Environment: We maintain small batch sizes of 10 to 18 students. This ensures our instructors can offer hands-on adjustments and build genuine rapport with everyone, making the studio feel like a second home rather than a transactional space.
Whether you are joining us for Hatha, Ashtanga, or our partner yoga sessions, you will find that our community is built on consistency and mutual care. Come sit with us on the mat, and see why those who join us once tend to stick around for the long haul.
Asan Yoga
I started Asan Yoga in 2019 because I wanted to create a space where you feel at home, not judged. For us, yoga is a shared journey where we meet you exactly where you are today. Come sit with us on the mat.
