Yoga for Kids and Community Group Sessions
Yoga isn't just for the flexible. Whether it's for your child's focus or building a consistent group practice at home, I help everyone find their flow with simple, effective movements.
It was a privilege to lead a yoga session for students at Jiwan Jyoti Sr Sec School. I believe in making yoga accessible to everyone, including children, to help them build body awareness, focus, and a foundation for lifelong wellness.
This video gives you a glimpse into my online yoga world. I teach students of all ages, including kids and groups, and even share testimonials from clients who have achieved amazing results like weight loss through our virtual sessions.
About Yoga for Everyone: Kids & Groups
In my group sessions, I don't just expect you to follow along blindly. Whether we are working with kids in a school hall or connecting on a Zoom call, I actively watch the gallery view to give real-time verbal cues that help you adjust your posture. It’s about building consistency together, ensuring nobody gets left behind.
Yoga is for everybody, regardless of age or physical background. My approach to group classes—both online and in-person at venues like Jiwan Jyoti Sr Sec School—is rooted in the belief that discipline is easier to build when you are part of a community.
My Approach to Group Practice
When I teach groups, my primary focus is safety and alignment. Whether you are joining my weekday online batches via Zoom or a community workshop, I use standardized Hatha and Vinyasa sequences designed for general fitness. We cover:
- Foundational Movement: Learning correct posture for kids to improve focus and body awareness.
- Breathwork: Incorporating Bhastrika and Kapalbhati to energize the group.
- Accessibility: Modifying poses so beginners don't feel intimidated by the more advanced practitioners in the room.
Why Group Yoga?
Many students start with 1-on-1 sessions but eventually shift to group classes to maintain momentum. The energy of practicing together helps with consistency. For children, these sessions act as a break from academic pressure, giving them a physical outlet that also calms the mind. If you are curious but unsure if this is the right fit, I always suggest starting with a free demo class. It gives you a chance to see my teaching style and how we handle corrections in a virtual or group setting.
