My Artistic Journey: Finding Beauty in the Forgotten

My journey began at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, where I learned to shape imagination into form. At 25, life brought me to India, a new country that offered a fresh beginning. In 2010, I founded my studio in Mumbai with a singular focus: sustainability as the heart of my practice. I realized that even discarded paper could find a new lease of life, and that became the foundation for the textured, touchable art I create today.

Over the last decade, I have participated in more than 30 shows, both national and international. My work often explores fragility and resilience, embodying a quiet story of constant transformation. I frequently pull from the 'Navrasas'—the nine emotions of an Indian woman—using them to translate internal feeling into physical form. Whether it is a large sculptural piece using rough diamonds and texture paste, or an installation made entirely of upcycled paper, my goal is to remind us that even the forgotten can shine again.

When I am not in the studio, I am usually hosting retreats or workshops, teaching others how to slow down and listen to themselves through art. My work is not about perfection. It is about stillness, flow, and finding your own voice in the mess.
