I’m Rupali. This space is where I pull back the curtain on my life as a Mumbai-based artist, sharing my creative processes, my 'happy accidents,' and the stories behind the art I create for your homes.

For those who have just stumbled upon my page, hey everyone. I'm Rupali Jhaveri, an artist from Mumbai. In this video, I introduce myself and share a bit about my passion for exploring all forms of art. I look forward to connecting with you.

This is my story of how I became an artist. It started with creating artworks for my husband's office, and to my surprise, they all got sold on social media. Since then, there's been no looking back.

Get a glimpse into my creative world with this rapid-fire Q&A. I answer questions about my favorite medium, how I overcome creative blocks, and where I see my art taking me in the next five years.

I’m the artist behind the brush strokes. This is where my thoughts turn into colors. Every line you’ll see here has a story. This is mine.

People have asked me about the mistakes I've learned from in art. My answer is that there are no mistakes in art. It's all about your creativity, your emotions, and how you want to portray your work. Keep painting, keep growing.

As an artist, my journey has taught me that learning is growth. Embracing the unknown, experimenting fearlessly, and evolving with every stroke has been my true masterpiece.

My art scrapbook. A collection of stories, moments, and memories brought to life through colors, textures, and imagination. Every page is a glimpse into my creative journey.

Textures are my love language, and in this video, I explain why. Life is better with layers, depth, and a little bit of grit. Every texture tells a story.

Here's a secret artists don't want you to know. We do make mistakes, but we also have the art of covering them up and making them a part of our artwork. So don't be scared of making mistakes.

A fun Q&A where I share my three most favorite paintings I've done so far. Each one was a unique challenge that I really enjoyed, from an 8-foot canvas to working on two different surfaces for one piece.

About Conversations with the Artist

People often ask if I'm afraid of messing up a commission, but I’ve learned that art rarely follows a straight line. Whether I'm working with texture paste or burning intricate designs into wood, I start with a deep-dive consultation to understand your space and story. I share physical swatches and we tweak textures until it feels right, so by the time I pick up the final tools, we are both fully aligned on the vision.

I am not the kind of artist who creates things in a bubble. My journey has been defined by trial and error—from my very first large-scale Radha Krishna piece that terrified me, to the meditative rhythm of carving intricate mantras. I believe that an artwork is only as good as the connection it has to the person living with it, which is why I involve you in the process from day one.

How I Work

Commissioning a piece is a collaborative journey. If you are looking for custom wall art, we start by looking at your space. I want to know about your lighting, your furniture fabrics, and the story you want the piece to tell. For large-scale statement works, I create physical A4 swatches for you to hold and see in your own light before I even touch the main canvas. This takes the guesswork out of the final outcome and ensures the color palette feels like it belongs in your home.

Embracing Imperfection

My style is heavily influenced by the Wabi-Sabi philosophy, which finds beauty in the worn and the imperfect. I use unconventional tools—sometimes things I find in a garden or at the beach—to create depth that expensive, branded brushes just cannot replicate. If a mistake happens during the process, I don't scrap it. I find a way to incorporate it into the piece. That is often where the most unique texture comes from.

Whether you are looking for Vastu-inspired art for positive energy, a sentimental portrait, or a rustic pyrography piece for a corner of your home, my goal is to give you something that isn't just decor, but a piece of my heart and your story.
