Behind the Scenes of My Art Studio & Process

Ever wondered how a piece of art goes from an idea to your wall? Welcome to my studio. This is where I sketch, paint, and sometimes fail, just to get it right for your home.

Sometimes you need a canvas that's just the right size. Here's a look at how I build my own custom-sized split stretched canvases for large projects.

A moment of gratitude for my journey. This upcycled painting of banana leaves represents my evolution as an artist who loves to learn and try new things.

This post is dedicated to myself and my progress. Holding my renovated banana leaf painting, I feel proud of the decision to follow my passion.

A little behind-the-scenes fun showing what it takes to get the perfect video all by myself. It involves multiple takes, camera adjustments, and worrying about my hair!

Painting is my meditation. This is me in my studio, lost in my own world, doing what I love most.

The final look of the old painting I renovated. I love how it turned out, and I'm happy to share the complete process.

Part 1 of renovating a decade-old painting for a client. The original textures were a challenge, so I decided to embrace them and go with a new texture painting.

About this collection

I don't just paint on pre-made canvases. For large commissions, I build my own custom-sized frames right here in the studio. This ensures the structural integrity of the canvas so it sits perfectly in your space without warping over time. It is a bit of extra work, but it makes the painting experience so much better for me, and the result is a canvas built specifically for your project.

My Studio Philosophy

Art is not just about the final output. It is about the journey. My studio in Harlur, Bengaluru, is where I experiment with textures, learn new techniques, and sometimes fix my mistakes. When you see a wall mural or an upcycled piece of furniture, you are seeing the result of hours of trial and error.

Why Process Matters

  • Transparency: I share the process because I want you to trust that your piece is made with care. Whether I am sanding down an old cabinet for upcycling or building a custom split-canvas, you should know exactly what goes into your order.
  • Sustainability: Giving new life to old paintings or furniture is my way of reducing waste. It feels better to renovate an old, neglected piece than to buy something mass-produced.
  • Learning: From painting Christmas murals on my studio glass doors to teaching texture workshops, I am constantly learning. If you are ever interested in trying your hand at art, check out my workshops. I keep them casual, open, and perfect for beginners.

How I Work

If you have a concept in mind, reach out. We can discuss materials, the surface we are working on, and the vibe you want for your space. I prefer working with people who value the creative process as much as the result. Let us build something meaningful together.
