Yoga for All Ages: Gentle Family and Kids Classes
Yoga is a journey we share across generations. My sessions blend playful movement for children with steady Hatha flows for adults, creating a space where everyone finds their own pace and sukoon.
A beautiful moment of shared practice. While I demonstrate an advanced backbend, my young student practices her own form of meditation. This shows how my sessions can be adapted for different skill levels, allowing parents and children to practice side by side.
It fills me with `Shukrana` (gratitude) to see three generations flowing together. This clip shows a family moving through a gentle sequence, including variations of Plank Pose and Cobra Pose. It highlights that yoga is a universal language of wellness that connects us all.
About A Practice for All Ages
My approach focuses on the individual, not just the pose. Whether we are working on posture correction for a student or introducing a child to mindfulness through play, I prioritize small, safe movements that help you build strength without rushing the process.
A Practice for Every Generation
Yoga is not a destination but a daily sadhana. My classes are designed to be inclusive, bridging the gap between kids who need to burn off energy and adults seeking mental clarity.
For Kids: Play-Way Learning
Children learn best when they are having fun. My kids' sessions, conducted in small batches of 4-8, turn asanas into games. We focus on:
- Mindfulness: Simple breathing techniques to help kids navigate their big moments.
- Posture Correction: Essential spinal health exercises to counteract the effects of screen time.
- Focus: Storytelling and animal mimicry keep them engaged while they build physical foundations.
For Adults: Traditional Hatha
For my adult practitioners, I teach Classical Hatha Yoga. We avoid the rush of modern power flows. Instead, we root ourselves in:
- Asana & Pranayama: Building the two pillars of physical and breath work.
- Sukoon: Creating a quiet mental space, even during challenging postures.
- Accessibility: Whether you are practicing online or in my studio at Electronic City, Phase I, I ensure the flow is safe and effective for your current fitness level.
Yoga is a universal language. When I see three generations on the mat together, it is a reminder that we are all just looking for the same thing—a little more peace in our thoughts and a little more shukrana in our daily lives.
