Real-World Self-Defense and Confidence Training
I do not just teach kicks. We focus on building the mindset to stay calm in danger, whether you are in a classroom or walking home late.
This is what my training is all about. I am showing a student how to defend herself when pinned to the ground. It is not about fancy kicks, it is about learning practical escape techniques that give you the confidence to handle real situations.
Listen to my student Sarita. She talks about how this training is more than just physical exercise. It builds inner strength and self-confidence, teaching you to be alert, how to act, and when to run. This is the real victory.
This is a self-defense camp I conducted for the students at GGSSS MB Road Pushp Vihar school. Seeing this group of young women standing strong and ready gives me hope. We are building a generation that is aware and confident.
I am proud that our work is recognized and supported by the Delhi Police. This poster is from a free self-defense training camp we organized for International Women's Day at my academy. Safety and empowerment are for everyone.
Here, I am in a one-on-one session, focusing on striking techniques with a focus pad. Personal training like this helps build precision, power, and the mindset to win against the voice in your head that says you can't.
Even my youngest students understand why self-defense is important. This little champion is ready to take on anyone who bothers her. We start building confidence and awareness from a young age.
It was an honor to be recognized by IPS Officer Jitender Mani, the deputy director of the Delhi Police training academy. Having the support of experienced officials validates our practical approach to self-protection training.
About this collection
Forget fancy movie moves. My training centers on the Alert, Attack, and Run protocol. We drill how to use your voice, how to identify threats before they happen, and how to use everyday items like keys or mobile phones if things get aggressive. You will not walk out as a black belt in a day, but you will walk out knowing how to create space and get to safety.
Many people think self-defense is about learning to fight, but real safety starts with your head. If you are constantly looking at your phone while walking, you have already lost half the battle. My workshops at the Saket academy and across Delhi NCR are designed to train your reflexes and your situational awareness.
The Mental Shift
The biggest hurdle is not the physical threat, it is the inner voice that tells you to freeze. In my sessions, we work on managing adrenaline. When your heart starts racing, your brain can lock up. I teach breathing techniques to keep you clear-headed so you can actually use the physical moves you have learned.
Practical Drills for Real Life
We focus on the scenarios that actually matter. What happens in an elevator? How do you react if someone grabs you from behind on the street?
- Urban Safety: We practice escaping common grabs, chokes, and wrist holds.
- Improvised Defense: Learn to turn a handbag, a pen, or keys into tools that give you an opening to run.
- Voice Modulation: Sometimes the loudest weapon is your voice. We practice using firm, assertive commands to deter aggressors.
Whether it is a group session for corporate teams or personal coaching for individuals, the goal remains the same: learn to stay safe and walk away.
Aarav Taekwondo Academy
I am not just here to teach strikes and blocks. I am on a mission to build a generation that is not afraid to stand up for themselves. Whether it is a 3-year-old in my academy or a woman learning street safety, my job is to make sure you walk with your head high.
