Mastering Yoga and Pilates Techniques
Yoga isn't just a workout; it's a work-in. Join me in Goa—or online—to master everything from deep spinal health and dynamic Vinyasa flows to challenging inversions like the handstand.
This video of a Sirsasana, or headstand, captures the essence of my practice here in Goa. It's about finding stability and peace even when the world is in motion, using the sound of the ocean as our guide. This is the kind of strength and focus I help my students build, whether they are beginners or advanced practitioners.
Mastering Bakasana, or Crane Pose, is a journey of building strength, focus, and overcoming fear. In this video, I demonstrate the key steps from the ground up, showing how to engage your core and find that moment of balance. I break down advanced poses like this so anyone can learn to take flight.
There is a special energy when we practice together on the beach. This is a shot from one of my group sunset sessions, where students are finding their balance in Virabhadrasana III. My group classes are designed for all levels, creating a supportive community where everyone can grow.
Using parallettes adds a new dimension to handstand practice, demanding greater wrist strength and control. This video shows a transition from a tucked position to a full handstand, a movement that builds incredible upper body and core power. I guide students through progressions like this to safely advance their inversion practice.
Here is a look at a Vinyasa flow sequence during a personal session on the beach. We move in sync with the breath and each other, transitioning smoothly between poses like Warrior I and Triangle Pose. This dynamic practice builds heat, improves flexibility, and calms the mind.
This is a demonstration of Vakrasana, a simple but powerful seated spinal twist. As you can see, the movement is slow and controlled to maximize the benefits, which include improved spinal flexibility, better digestion, and toning of the abdominal muscles. I often include therapeutic poses like this to address specific health goals.
Tu es maan ka daas na ban es maan ko apna daas bna le. Don’t be a slave to your mind, make your mind your slave. This is the core of my teaching. Finding stillness through meditation, especially with the ocean as a backdrop, is how we begin to master our inner world.
The Standing Chakrasana, or Wheel Pose, is a deep backbend that opens the heart and builds full-body strength. This video shows the controlled movement required to enter and exit the pose safely. It's an excellent asana for improving posture and energizing the entire body.
About Featured
You will notice a mix of studio and beach sessions in my gallery. Whether you are working on a headstand or managing back stiffness, we don't just hold poses; we focus on the biomechanics. My studio at Kaizen Wellness Space in Miramar is climate-controlled, but if you are in Goa, I highly recommend our sunset sessions—the natural terrain adds a layer of focus you simply cannot replicate indoors.
My practice is built on the philosophy of Kaizen, or continuous improvement. I believe in getting one percent better every day. I hold a PhD and MSc in my field, and I use that technical knowledge to break down advanced poses. For example, when I teach Bakasana (Crane Pose) or handstands, I don't just show the final position. I guide you through the engagement of the core, wrist stability, and the mental preparation required to overcome fear.
My Core Focus Areas
- Spinal Health & Therapy: Many students come to me with desk-job stiffness. My approach uses therapeutic twists and spinal movements to improve posture and relieve back pain.
- Vinyasa & Hatha: I blend these styles to ensure you get both the dynamic heat of a flow and the structural benefits of static holds.
- Pilates Integration: I often incorporate Pilates principles into my yoga flows to ensure your core strength is functional and stable.
Where We Train
You can join me online from anywhere, or visit me in person in Panaji, Goa. My studio, Kaizen Wellness Space, offers a premium environment with props provided. If you choose our beach sessions at Miramar, we work with the rhythm of the ocean. It is a raw, elemental experience that teaches you to find balance when the ground beneath you is shifting. Whether you are an absolute beginner or looking to refine your inversion practice, my goal is to help you build a sustainable routine that you can maintain long-term.
