Health & Fitness Workshops for Women
I don't just teach workouts in the studio; I visit schools, colleges, and offices to show women that getting fit doesn't need to be complicated. Here is a peek into my workshops where we bust myths, talk nutrition, and get moving together.
Speaking at an interactive health and fitness session for the teachers of Somerville School. It's important to empower our educators with the right knowledge.
Sharing insights on nutrition and lifestyle during the session. My goal is to make health information simple and accessible.
Demonstrating some simple stretches that can be done anywhere, even at a desk. Movement is key to staying healthy.
The teachers participating in a simple chair exercise. It's amazing to see jejich enthusiasm for learning about fitness.
More stretching exercises with the teachers. These simple movements can help relieve stress and improve posture.
A group photo with the wonderful teachers of Somerville School. It was a pleasure to connect with them.
Receiving a token of appreciation after the session. I'm always grateful for the opportunity to share my passion.
Leading an interactive session on health, wellness, and nutrition. I believe in empowering people with the knowledge to take control of their health.
Demonstrating a stretching technique during the workshop. Practical demonstrations are a great way to teach correct form.
The audience participating in a mindfulness exercise. Mental wellness is just as important as physical fitness.
About Spreading the Word: Workshops & Media Features
I conduct interactive sessions tailored to specific groups—whether it’s teachers juggling long school days or young girls starting their fitness journey. My workshops go beyond just exercising; we tackle the 'ghar ka khana' approach to nutrition and do practical, chair-based stretches that you can realistically fit into a busy workday, no fancy gym required.
People often ask me, "Sonia, why do you spend time giving talks instead of just teaching dance?" The answer is simple. There is so much misinformation out there. Everyone is trying to sell you a quick fix, a miracle pill, or a crash diet that leaves you exhausted. My workshops are my way of setting the record straight.
When I visit schools like Somerville or talk to the bright girls at ITS Ghaziabad, I don't give a lecture. We talk about real life. We talk about how to manage a hectic schedule without burning out, why 'ghar ka khana' is actually better than expensive supplements, and how to fit movement into a desk job.
I show you that fitness isn't about looking perfect in a lehenga; it’s about feeling strong enough to handle your day. We do practical demonstrations—like simple stretches you can do at your desk to fix that hunched-over posture, or chair-based movements that get your blood flowing when you're stuck in meetings all day. We also cover the basics of nutrition, busting myths about carbohydrates and fats, and focusing on portion control rather than starvation.
If you represent an organization, a school, or a corporate team and want a session that isn't boring, robotic, or filled with empty promises, let’s talk. I bring the same energy to my workshops that I bring to my studio. We laugh, we learn, and we break a sweat, but most importantly, we start a conversation about health that you can actually sustain. No pressure, just honest advice and simple, doable steps for a healthier life.

I'm Sonia. After 20 years of building the Dance to Fitness community, I’ve realized that real change happens when you stop obsessing over quick fixes and start learning how your body works. I love taking my studio vibe out into the real world to help women find their own kind of 'fit' without the guilt.
