About Partner & Acro Yoga
In our partner sessions, the focus shifts from 'me' to 'we' through weight-sharing exercises and supported backbends. You will learn to rely on your partner's center of gravity, which often helps you hold a pose longer and breathe deeper than you could on your own. It is a practice built on mutual trust and non-verbal communication, not just flexibility.
Why Practice Together?
Yoga can feel like a solitary journey, but adding a partner changes the energy entirely. In our Mayur Vihar studio, partner yoga is less about gymnastic feats and more about non-verbal communication. When you support a partner's weight in a simple stretch, you build physical trust. You learn to listen to their breath and adjust your own intensity. It creates a 'sangha'—a community—which is the true heart of yoga.
What to Expect
We do not jump into advanced Acro stunts immediately. We start with:
- Supported Stretching: Using each other for deeper backbends and hamstring stretches.
- Weight-Sharing Flows: Balancing poses that require you to rely on a partner's center of gravity to stay stable.
- Trust-Building Drills: Simple movements that demand patience and synchronization.
Who is This For?
Couples who want a different kind of quality time, or friends looking to push their practice together. You do not need to be super flexible to start. In fact, many of our partner classes involve people who have never practiced with a partner before. We laugh, we balance, and we learn to let go of the pressure to be 'perfect'. As I always say, 'Swasth se Swasthata ki aur'—wellness is a shared journey, and sometimes, you just need a hand to hold.
