Kids Yoga Journeys: Building Strength and Focus
Yoga for children is more than a workout; it’s a 'work-in' that builds confidence and inner strength. Watch how our students grow from simple, playful poses to advanced asanas through consistent, joyful practice. 🧘♀️
It is so rewarding to see my students progress. Here is my wonderful student Asha mastering Kukutasana, an advanced arm-balancing pose. We build up to these moments with consistent practice, focusing on strength and patience.
A glimpse into a home session with two of my students. We are working on core strength and flexibility with these leg raises, an essential part of building a strong foundation for more complex asanas.
Mastering inversions like the Sirsasana or headstand is a journey. In this video, I demonstrate some of the drills we practice to build the necessary core and shoulder strength safely.
This is the happy face of progress. Asha, my youngest student, after a great session. Her dedication over the past year has been incredible to witness.
I believe yoga can be practiced anywhere. Finding balance with Natarajasana, the dancer's pose, on a bench surrounded by the quiet of the forest helps me connect with my practice on a deeper level.
A playful moment while holding a challenging pose. Yoga for kids should always have an element of fun. This helps them stay engaged and build a positive relationship with their practice.
A quiet moment of focus holding a supported headstand, or Salamba Sirsasana. This asana is amazing for building upper body strength and improving circulation.
About Featured
In my sessions, I do not focus on rigid fitness drills. I guide children through a gradual process where they learn to balance their breath and body, slowly working up to advanced poses like Kukutasana. Whether it is one-on-one or a duo session with a friend, we keep the momentum going at your home, turning consistent practice into genuine self-belief.
Our Approach: From Playful to Precise
I believe yoga for children should be a journey, not a chore. We start where your child is today—using playful movements to engage their imagination—and gradually introduce structure. Over time, I have seen students who once struggled with basic balance go on to master challenging inversions like Sirsasana. This growth happens because we focus on the 'work-in' aspect: breathing, focus, and posture.
Why Home Sessions?
I travel across New Delhi to conduct sessions at your home because I want your child to feel completely comfortable. Whether you prefer one-on-one coaching for undivided attention or a duo session where siblings or friends can join, the environment stays consistent. This familiarity helps them open up and dive deeper into their practice without the distractions of a crowded studio.
What to Expect
- Technical Skill: We cover warm-ups, breathwork, and specific drills for spinal flexibility and core strength.
- Posture Correction: I address the physical impact of screen time through targeted asanas.
- Progress Tracking: I maintain a photo and video record so you can actually see the transformation in your child’s balance and confidence.
Don't wait for the 'perfect' time. Life is happening now, and the best way to start is by taking that first step on the mat. Whether your child is looking for a fun new activity or wants to get headstand-ready, I am here to guide them with passion and patience. Let us build a strong, flexible foundation together. 🙏🏻
