Practical Yoga Teacher Training in Mumbai
Experience real-time teaching practice and hands-on guidance in our small, supportive yoga batches across Kurla and Chembur.
One on one guidance is crucial for mastering difficult poses. Here, I am helping a student safely get into Shirshasana (headstand), demonstrating the kind of hands on support you will learn to provide as an instructor.
Students in my class practice inversions like Sarvangasana (shoulder stand) and Shirshasana (headstand). You will learn how to guide students of all levels through these beneficial but challenging poses.
A look inside one of my group sessions, where students are working on core strengthening and flexibility exercises. You can see the focused and calm atmosphere I cultivate in my classes.
This clip shows a group of students practicing seated forward bends and stretches. Learning in a group setting creates a wonderful energy and allows for shared growth and motivation.
A student performs Halasana (Plough Pose) during a class. I focus on proper form and technique to help students achieve deep stretches and prevent injury, a key skill for any yoga teacher.
About In the Studio: Practical Teaching & Group Sessions
In these sessions, I keep batch sizes limited to 10-15 students to ensure every posture is corrected safely. We do not just practice asanas; we break down alignment and anatomy so you learn how to spot mistakes in others. It is about understanding the 'why' behind every move, not just mimicking the pose.
Yoga is not just about what you see on Instagram. To truly teach, you must understand how to adjust a body safely and when to push a student—or when to hold them back. My teacher training modules at Kurla and Chembur are built around this philosophy of 'sahaj, saral, prabhavshali' (easy, simple, effective) learning.
What happens in our training studios?
When you join my 3-month course, you are not just a face in a crowded hall. We utilize community halls and local centers like the Prabodhan Prayog Ghar in Kurla, keeping the setting authentic and functional. You get:
- Active Mentorship: I personally supervise your technique. Whether it is mastering a complex Shirshasana (headstand) or refining a seated forward bend, you will learn the exact cues needed to guide others.
- Alignment Focus: You will learn to use props like blocks and straps effectively. This is crucial for making yoga accessible for students with injuries or limited flexibility.
- Holistic Curriculum: We balance the physical (Hatha, Ashtanga, Power Yoga) with the theoretical (Yoga Sutras, anatomy). You learn to plan classes that feel safe and welcoming.
Why train with us?
Most people drop out of yoga because they find it too rigid or complex. Our training teaches you to simplify. You will graduate with an International Yoga Organization (IYO) certification, but more importantly, you will have the confidence to lead your own classes, plan structured sessions, and handle real-life health concerns like stress or PCOD. If you are serious about teaching, let us get to work.
