The Real Practice: Why It’s Okay to Wobble in Yoga

Yoga is not about holding a perfect pose or being the most flexible person in the room. It is about showing up, moving your body, and embracing the wobbly, imperfect, and human moments on the mat.

Here’s a little reminder that yoga isn't about being perfect. We all wobble and fall, and that's okay. The real practice is about getting back up, laughing it off, and trying again.

Not every attempt at a pose is perfect. Here's a moment from my practice where I lost my balance in Warrior Pose. We laugh, reset, and try again. That's the journey.

About this collection

In my classes, I don't expect you to be a pro from day one. Whether we are practicing on Zoom or in person, my focus is on guiding you through the movement at your own pace. If you wobble or stumble, we laugh, adjust, and try again. That is how we build real strength and safety, rather than forcing postures that don't fit your body yet.

Why 'Perfect' Yoga Is A Myth

We see perfectly polished photos on social media, but that is rarely what a daily practice actually looks like. My approach to yoga is grounded in reality. Some days, your body feels open and strong; other days, you feel stiff and tired. That is completely okay. My goal is to teach you how to listen to your body, not just push it to match a picture.

How We Practice

When you join my sessions, you get a space that is entirely free of judgment. We work on the foundations of Hatha and Vinyasa flow, but we leave room for the 'oops' moments. If we are working on a pose and you fall out of it, we take a breath, smile, and reset.

What You Can Expect

  • Correction over perfection: In both my 1-on-1 private sessions and small group batches, I offer verbal cues to help you adjust your alignment. I watch for signs of strain so you don't end up hurting yourself trying to reach an arbitrary goal.
  • Support for desk-bound bodies: Many of my students come to me with back pain or neck tension from long hours at a desk. We use the 'wobble' moments to identify where your body is tight and slowly work on opening those areas.
  • Props to help you grow: If your flexibility is not quite there, we use props. Blocks and belts are not a sign of weakness; they are tools to help you perform a pose safely.

Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to get back into practice after a break, you are welcome here. We move, we breathe, and we find our balance together. Namaskara.
