Inversions & Playful Flows
Experience the freedom of movement. I combine the support of the aerial hammock with the discipline of traditional Hatha yoga to help you build strength, find balance, and finally learn to fly.
Going upside down is always fun, especially in a hammock. This flow shows a playful entry into an inversion, highlighting the dynamic and joyful nature of the practice.
This is a glimpse into my self-practice, where I explore different transitions and movements. Each flow is an opportunity to connect with my body and the fabric.
I am always falling in love with movement in the air. This sequence demonstrates a fluid transition from a seated pose into a graceful split, all within the hammock.

A quiet moment of self-practice. This video shows a simple, mindful flow, demonstrating that not all movement has to be fast or complex to be beneficial.
About Inversions & Playful Flows
Aerial yoga is not just about the impressive flips you see in photos; it is a highly effective tool for building genuine upper body and core stability. In my studio, we prioritize safety above all else. Every session begins with specific warm-up drills to prepare your wrists and shoulders, and I use professional-grade crash mats to ensure you feel secure while exploring new inversions. You do not need to be inherently flexible to start—the hammock acts as a supportive prop that allows you to deepen your stretches at your own pace, safely.
I remember avoiding poses that required upper-body power, so I understand the hesitation you might feel before your first class. Aerial yoga changed that for me, and my goal is to make that transformation accessible to you as well.
What we focus on in the hammock
When you join my sessions in Sanpada or Seawoods, we move beyond simple stretching. We work on progressive skill building, starting from basic climbs and moving toward dynamic flows. We break down named poses like the Vampire and the Butterfly, ensuring you understand the mechanics before attempting the full shape.
Why this practice works
- Decompression: One of the most popular parts of my class is the floating Savasana, where we use the hammock for spinal release.
- Accessible Inversions: Going upside down feels strange at first, but with the support of the fabric, you can safely learn inversions that might feel intimidating on the mat.
- Strength & Play: We use suspension to build grip strength and core control, but we always balance that effort with moments of playfulness.
Whether you are looking to rehabilitate from a previous injury or simply want a different way to build flexibility, these flows meet you where you are today. I keep my batches small (6-10 students) to ensure I can provide hands-on spotting for every student. Let’s fly and grow together.
