Functional CrossFit and Strength Training Highlights
A direct look at our training philosophy, the equipment we use, and the community energy at XLR8.
This is what I mean by functional training. The sled push is not just about strength, it's a full body workout that builds power from your legs up through your core. I focus on keeping the body in a plank position to engage the core correctly, which helps in instant weight loss and building real, practical strength.
Kettlebells are a fantastic tool, but only if used the right way. I teach you everything from the clean and press to kettlebell swings, ensuring your entire body works as one unit. This is advanced functional training that requires coordination and control, which we build together step by step.
Training is always better together. Here you can see a tire flip, a classic CrossFit exercise that builds explosive power and works your entire body. We create an environment where everyone, from beginners to advanced athletes, can challenge themselves and have fun doing it.
Battle ropes are one of the most effective and impressive workouts. I will teach you how to create the perfect wave, which forces your core to stabilize your body against the pull of the ropes. We do various drills like alternate waves, snake battles, and jumping jacks to build strength and burn a lot of calories.
My training includes more than just lifting. Using the hit bag is a great way to build cardio, tone your arms, chest, and abs, and learn self defense. It is a powerful functional exercise that I incorporate for both kids and adults to make workouts engaging.
I believe in mixing modern CrossFit with traditional Indian strength exercises. This is the Hanuman Dand, or the Hindu push up, which is excellent for building chest, shoulder, and tricep strength while also improving flexibility. It's a low impact exercise that is suitable for all fitness levels.
This is what peak performance looks like. On the left, a farmer's walk with heavy kettlebells to build grip strength and endurance. On the right, a sled pull, a true test of power. I train my clients to be ready for any challenge, inside or outside the gym.
The energy in our group sessions is unmatched. Here, I'm leading a push up challenge, making sure everyone maintains the correct form while pushing their limits. This is what our community is about: we sweat together and grow stronger together.
Don't just take my word for it. My clients' experiences speak for themselves. The positive vibe and focus on correct coaching are things I take great pride in.
About Featured
Fitness is not just about sweating; it is about moving correctly. At XLR8, we prioritize biomechanics over ego lifting. Whether you are flipping a tractor tire or mastering a kettlebell swing, I ensure your form is perfect to prevent injury. If you are training here, you are here to learn the sahi tarika (correct method).
At my studio, we don't believe in shortcuts or quick fixes. The workouts you see here are a blend of CrossFit, powerlifting, and traditional Indian strength movements designed to make you fit for the real world, not just the gym floor.
Why Our Training Works
- No Half Reps: We focus on full range of motion. If you are not doing it right, you are not doing it here.
- Functional Strength: We use tools like battle ropes, sleds, and Indian clubs to build strength that helps you in your daily life.
- Scalable Workouts: Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned athlete, I adjust the intensity so you get a challenge that fits your current level.
The Community Difference
We are a family. You will see members pushing each other to hit that last rep. It is loud, it is sweaty, and it is supportive. We don't just train bodies; we build habits that stick. If you are serious about results and ready to put in the work, this is the place.

I am Dinesh Shukla. I have been a competitive athlete for years, and I built this space because I got tired of seeing people hurt themselves with bad form. My job is to make sure you move correctly, stay consistent, and actually see the results of your hard work.
