I design targeted yoga sequences to address physical stiffness, digestive discomfort, and stress. Every session focuses on safe, supported movement to help your body heal naturally.

This is Parivrtta Parsvakonasana (Revolved Side Angle Pose). The twisting action contracts and stimulates abdominal organs, aiding digestion and directing blood flow to the spinal region.

Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose) and its one-legged variation. This pose strengthens the back, buttocks, and hamstrings while helping to calm the brain and alleviate stress.

A demonstration of the preparatory and final stages of Padahastasana. This forward bend stretches the entire back of the body and stimulates abdominal organs to improve digestion.

Parivrtta Parsvakonasana (Revolved Side Angle Pose) variations. This powerful standing twist increases stamina, improves balance, and stretches the shoulders and spine.

Janushirasana (Head-to-Knee Forward Bend). This pose is excellent for strengthening the back, reducing belly fat, and improving the function of the liver and kidneys.

Ardha Baddha Padmottanasana, a forward bend with one foot in half lotus. This pose has a powerful effect on the liver and spleen, helping to improve metabolism and purify the blood.

A preparatory pose for Parivrtta Paschimottanasana (Revolved Seated Forward Bend). The lateral twist stimulates blood circulation in the spine and can provide great relief from backaches.

A student practicing Ardha Baddha Padmottanasana. The pressure of the heel on the abdomen in this pose helps alleviate gastric problems and constipation.

This gentle, restorative pose is excellent for shoulder strengthening. It increases muscle strength in the upper body, including the shoulders and triceps, without strain.

Akapada Dhanurasana (One-Legged Bow Pose) and its variation. This pose is effective for weight loss, improving digestion, and strengthening the entire back.

About Therapeutic Yoga for Common Ailments

You do not need to be flexible to start healing, you just need to be consistent. I personally guide you through modifications for every asana, ensuring that whether you are dealing with a stiff lower back or digestive discomfort, you are moving safely. We do not just push through pain, we use props like blocks and straps to support your body's natural alignment while you build strength.

My Approach to Healing

I live by the word 'Vivarta', which means transformation. My therapeutic yoga sessions are built on this principle, aiming to move you from a state of discomfort to one of ease and strength. I focus on therapeutic asanas that target specific muscle groups, helping to alleviate chronic issues like lower back pain, neck stiffness, and digestive sluggishness.

How We Work Together

Yoga should be accessible, regardless of your current fitness level. My methodology includes:

  • Manual Adjustments: I provide hands-on corrections during in-person sessions at my Nagarbhavi and Basavanagudi studios to ensure your posture is safe and effective.
  • Prop-Assisted Practice: We use blocks and straps to make challenging poses accessible, helping you stretch safely without straining your muscles.
  • Focus on Function: We don't just perform poses. I explain the 'why' behind every movement, whether it is a twist to improve digestion or a forward bend to release tension in the spine.

Therapeutic Benefits

  • Spinal Health: Many of my students struggle with sedentary lifestyles. We use gentle twists and extensions to rejuvenate the spine and improve blood circulation.
  • Digestive Support: By compressing and releasing the abdominal region through specific asanas, we naturally stimulate organs like the liver and spleen to improve metabolism.
  • Stress Management: Each class ends with pranayama and shavasana to calm the central nervous system, helping you manage anxiety and sleep better.

If you are looking for a dedicated practice to support your health journey, let's connect. I am here to help you break barriers and find the calm you need.
