Step into our Gurukulam, where Dhanurvidya becomes a practice of body and mind. See our students master traditional stances and precision under the guidance of ancient Vedic traditions.

A collage capturing the vibrant energy of our Dhanurvidya camp at the Ramanarayanam temple. You can see students of all ages united in their traditional attire, ready to learn and grow together.

A group of dedicated students at the conclusion of a 5-day camp. Holding their bows, they are not just learners but custodians of an ancient tradition.

The true archer aims not just at the target, but at the perfection of their own form and focus. This young student demonstrates a powerful stance against the setting sun, a symbol of his growing inner light.

With each bow, each movement, and each breath, these young practitioners of Dhanurvidya honor the traditions that shape their journey. Their synchronized forms show a shared dedication to the art.

The journey of Dhanurvidya is a reflection of self-mastery. Here, two young archers practice in unison, their forms mirroring each other as they progress on the path to becoming warriors of the mind and body.

Two young disciples practice their form together. The Gurukulam environment fosters a sense of brotherhood, where students learn from me and from each other, growing together in skill and character.

A female student practices her draw from a kneeling position. This demonstrates the strength and grace that women cultivate through the practice of Dhanurvidya, breaking barriers and embodying the warrior spirit.

This student practices shooting at a moving target, a skill that requires sharp reflexes and a calm, focused mind. It is a testament to the advanced training I provide to all my dedicated disciples.

"Children attain competence through Dhanurvidya, just as an arrow finds refuge in the bow." These young boys embody this truth, finding their strength and purpose through this sacred art.

About Additional Work

Shooting at a static target is about alignment, but moving target practice requires an entirely different level of awareness. In our 5-day immersion, we teach you to anticipate the movement, synchronizing your breath with the target's path before the release. This is where you move beyond simple technique and begin to embody the warrior's focus, turning intuition into action.

Our Gurukulam is not merely a place of sport; it is an environment for inner transformation. Whether you are ten or seventy years old, the path of Dhanurvidya is open to those who seek discipline. We host residential retreats in Tirupati, Hyderabad, and Vizianagaram, where we strip away the distractions of modern life to focus on the essential arts.

The Path of Training

We offer two primary paths of immersion. The 3-day Residential Beginners Camp is for those establishing their foundation, covering 15 hours of stance training and static target precision. For those ready for a deeper challenge, our 5-day Advanced Warrior Immersion introduces moving targets and forest terrain drills. These sessions demand 30 hours of instruction, where you learn to apply the warrior mindset to both the bow and daily life.

A Way of Living

Living at our Gurukulam means adopting a Vedic lifestyle. You will rise at 4:30 AM for traditional chants and yoga, followed by rigorous archery practice. Our curriculum includes the 7 primary stances, or Sthanakas, of Dhanurveda, and culminates in the sacred Ayudha Puja. We believe that true competence in Dhanurvidya, as the ancient texts suggest, allows a student to find strength and purpose—much like an arrow finding its home in the bow.

Our environment is inclusive and communal. By training together, men, women, and children build camaraderie, learning from one another's progress. You will leave these grounds not just with better aim, but with a clearer understanding of your own inner veerta, or bravery.
