Step onto the sacred ground where Dhanurvidya is restored. In our Gurukulam, you do not just learn archery; you undergo a physical and mental transformation through ancient Vedic discipline.

A line of archers, united in purpose. I guide my students to find their stance, to feel the ground beneath them, and to draw the string as a single, focused unit. This is a lesson in both individual form and collective energy.

A glimpse into a day at our Dhanurvidya camp. I demonstrate the correct posture, share ancient wisdom in a satsang, and oversee the disciplined practice of my students as they learn to walk the warrior's path.

This video follows the journey of a student at our 5-day residential camp. You can see her progress from learning the basic stance to confidently loosing an arrow, a transformation of both skill and spirit.

Young warriors learn the rhythm of 'Mokshana', the release. This synchronized practice instills a deep sense of discipline and timing, teaching them to act with precision and unity.

From a kneeling position, students practice their draw. This posture, known as 'Dardura Krama', builds lower body strength and stability, which is essential for a powerful and accurate shot.

Here, students practice the 'Alidha' stance, a foundational posture in Dhanurvidya. Notice the alignment of the body, creating a stable base from which to deliver a powerful and controlled shot.

I demonstrate the full sequence of 'Aakarna Dhanurasana', drawing the bowstring all the way to the ear. This technique maximizes power and accuracy, and is a key form we practice at the Gurukulam.

Before we pick up our bows, we prepare our bodies and minds. Students engage in physical conditioning exercises derived from ancient warrior training to build strength and stamina.

The practice of 'Surya Namaskar' greets the dawn at our camp. This sequence of yoga postures is not just exercise; it is a prayer in motion, aligning the body's energy with the sun.

We begin each training session with pranayama and meditation. A calm mind is the archer's greatest asset, and through these breathing exercises, my students learn to find their center before ever taking aim.
