Step into the Gurukulam to master both the bow and the mind through this traditional Vedic practice.

Here, the archer and the sky become one. This is the essence of Dhanurvidya, where the self dissolves into the singular focus of the target, guided by the sun's unwavering light.

We gather around the sacred fire, not just as students, but as a family bound by tradition. This Havan ceremony is a vital part of our retreat, purifying our intentions and honoring the divine energy that guides our practice.

Mastery of the body allows for mastery of the bow in unexpected ways. Here, I demonstrate shooting two arrows using my feet, a technique that requires immense flexibility, core strength, and unwavering concentration.

The Guru-Shishya Parampara is the sacred heart of our tradition. Guiding a young disciple is like planting a seed of dharma; I am merely the caretaker as they grow towards the light on their own journey.

The strength of a woman is a force of nature, and Dhanurvidya is a path to awaken it. This ancient art empowers women to cultivate both inner resolve and physical prowess, embodying the spirit of warrior queens from our epics.

The focus in their eyes is matched by the joy in their hearts. I teach my students that the goal is not just to hit the target, but to find stillness and happiness in the process of drawing the bow.

We practice 'Chala Chala', the art of shooting while in motion. This advanced technique, taught even to my youngest students, trains the body to maintain stability and the mind to stay calm amidst movement, a crucial skill for any warrior.

This is our altar during Ayudha Puja, a ceremony where we honor the tools of our art. Each bow, arrow, and sword is revered not as a weapon, but as an instrument for discipline, protection, and upholding dharma.

About Featured

This is not a typical sports camp. Whether you are ten or seventy-five, our residential retreats focus on the Vedic lifestyle—Satvik meals, early morning Vedic chanting, and the practice of Dhanurvidya. You will learn the 7 primary Sthanakas and find focus through disciplined breath and movement, just as the warriors of old did.
