My Journey: From Corporate to Endurance Athlete
I believe in walking the talk. My move from a desk job to endurance sports proved that consistency is the only real hack. This is the foundation of my coaching.
Crossing the finish line at the Ooty Ultra, setting a new course record for women. This race wasn't on my calendar, but I embraced the challenge. This is what it looks like when your fueling strategy, mental toughness, and training all come together perfectly.
A quick hello and thank you to my community. For those who are new here, this is me, TimTim. I'm a performing athlete and coach who left the corporate world to pursue my passion for endurance sports, nutrition, and helping others achieve their fitness goals.
Here's a bit more about my story. I'm not just a coach, I'm an athlete who competes in 70.3 triathlons, cycling events, and distance running. I use my own experience and formal education in nutrition and conditioning to build customized programs that work.
The final leg of a triathlon, the 21.1km run. This is where your nutrition and endurance are truly tested, especially in the heat. I'm shown here on the course, focused on my execution, managing my hydration, and pushing through to the finish.
Results speak for themselves. This video showcases the incredible race results from the Brooks Running Collective Team, including my own first place finish at the TRORT Marathon. I'm proud to be part of a community of dedicated runners.
Posing with my first place medal after the tough TRORT half marathon. This race is known for its elevation and challenging course, which is exactly the kind of test I love. Competing keeps my coaching sharp and grounded in real-world experience.
Another shot from the TRORT podium finish, pointing number one. Every race is a learning experience, and this one was a great test of execution without a full taper. It's a reminder that consistent training builds a strong base for performance.
Here are the stats from my TRORT half marathon win. You can see the distance, pace, elevation gain, and heart rate data. I use this kind of data to analyze performance and refine training and nutrition plans for myself and my clients.
A moment of quiet confidence. Being an athlete is a lifestyle, and how you carry yourself reflects the work you put in. My motto is simple: talk less, do more.
About My Journey: Athlete & Coach
I don't just write plans. I test my methodologies in 70.3 triathlons and ultramarathons. When you train with me, you are using data-backed systems that have carried me to podium finishes at events like the TRORT Marathon and Ooty Ultra, not just theories from a textbook.
My journey started in 2013, when I walked away from a corporate career to pursue the world of endurance sports. I wasn't an elite athlete by birth. I built my engine through trial, error, and an obsession with understanding how the body actually functions.
The Methodology
I realized early on that cookie-cutter plans fail because they ignore the individual. Whether you are prepping for your first triathlon or chasing a personal best in a marathon, your training needs to account for your unique biology, your recovery capacity, and your daily life.
My coaching is built on three pillars:
- Data-Driven Performance: I look at everything from your heart rate zones to your sweat rate. If it can be measured, we track it.
- Nutrition as Fuel: I don't believe in restrictive dieting. We focus on training your gut to handle fuel under stress, just as you train your legs to handle mileage.
- Mental Toughness: The race happens in your head. I help you build the mental resilience required to push through the moments when you want to quit.
Testing the Limits
I don't ask my trainees to do anything I haven't done myself. From the TRORT Marathon to cycling nationals, I am constantly in the field, refining my approach to recovery, strength, and fueling. This isn't just about finishing; it is about showing up and performing with the best tools available. If you are ready to stop guessing and start training with intent, let's get to work.
