My Journey: From IT Burnout to Marathon Coach

I spent years in a corporate cubicle before trading spreadsheets for running tracks. Here is the grit, the struggle, and the reality behind my 40-year evolution.

I quit the corporate burnout culture at 38 to build a life that feels like mine. It wasn't a blind leap; I built my coaching business in parallel with my job until I had the clarity and confidence to make the change. Your best years begin the moment you choose yourself.

This was my "Goodbye 30s" run. This decade is when I fell in love with running and found myself. From an IT girl to a marathon coach, every stride has been a step toward a more fulfilling life, and I'm entering my 40s stronger than ever.

October 2022 vs. October 2023: from a podium finisher to walking with a stick. This past year taught me about resilience. Setbacks are inevitable, but they don't define you. I'm grateful to be running again, mentally stronger than before.

Beautiful or bold? I believe boldness is forged through experience. It's the decision to live your truth, protect your peace, and stand tall even when you're standing alone. This is the mindset I bring to my life and my coaching.

Realizing my 40-year-old self would beat my 20-year-old self at everything. Age is not a barrier; it's an evolution. I feel more powerful, grounded, and in tune with myself now than ever before. Fitness is a lifelong commitment.

If depression is hitting you, start running. Running is a powerful tool for mental health, helping to boost mood, reduce stress, and give you a sense of control. It's my therapy, and it can be yours too.

You can't add days to your life, but you can add life to your days. For me, running is that life. It's the energy, clarity, and freedom I feel with every step. It's a celebration of what my body can do and what my spirit can overcome.

About this collection

I didn’t quit my IT job overnight. I built my coaching practice in the margins—early mornings, late nights, and stolen lunch hours. If you think you're too busy to train, I’ll show you how to find the time instead of making excuses.

Running isn’t a hobby for me. It is a non-negotiable part of my sanity. When I left my corporate career at 38, I didn't have a grand plan. I had a pair of running shoes, a lot of discipline, and a deep desire to stop surviving and start living.

Many of you come to me with the same fear I had: 'I’m too old,' 'I’m too slow,' or 'I’m too busy.' Let’s clear the air. My 40s have taught me that biology changes, but potential doesn't. Yes, recovery takes longer. Yes, you might need reading glasses. But you also get a level of mental clarity you never had in your 20s.

I train out of the parks and tracks of Delhi NCR, not because it’s convenient, but because I believe in the grind. We work on your core, your glutes, and your pacing, but we also work on your 'why.' If you are struggling with motivation, that is where I come in. I’ve been there—I’ve podium-finished, and I’ve walked with a stick because of injury. I know the lows and I know the way back up. We don't just log miles here. We build a routine that actually sticks, regardless of how chaotic your workday is. Whether you’re prepping for your first 5K or a full marathon, my approach is simple: show up, do the work, and be honest about how you feel. No ego, just progress.
