That is why our curriculum is built on play rather than performance. We use storytelling, such as our 'Jungle Jugalbandi' series, and sensory tools like scarves and shakers to introduce Hindustani classical music in a way that genuinely resonates with children.
Our approach is grounded in the belief that music regulates the mind and fosters concentration. Whether you are a parent looking for a space for your toddler to explore sound, or an educator wanting to master our play-based teaching techniques, we offer a path that feels natural. We operate across Mumbai and Pune, working with everyone from students in our community outreach programs to families attending our weekend workshops. We are Kamakshi and Vishala. We started The Sound Space because we realized music education often felt too rigid and competitive for children. Our programs come straight from our hearts, and we aren’t just teachers, we are two sisters trying to bring the joy of Hindustani music to every household.
